I'm going to say this in the nicest way possible. Please stop mentioning it, "The ProVari" in treads that have nothing to do with the device. If someone is asking for advice on what APV to buy, fine. If not, don't mention it. I just read a post about the evic and the OP said, "I found the perfect VV for me." The very next poster replies with, "its not worth the money, just get a ProVari." Those weren't the exact words, but close. After someone saying that its annoying hearing about the ProVari all the time, he says "I was only trying to help." The OP never asked for help, "I found the perfect VV for me," is what they said. Yesterday somebody new to vaping asked for some advice on what to buy and said they only have about $50 to spend. And of-course, someone says get a ProVari. Really? Where in the heck is this new vaper going to find a ProVari for $50. I think the whole vaping community realizes that the ProVari is a great product. We don't need you telling us to get one EVERY TIME someone says they might buy a different product or how great it is every time someone even mentions a different product. And we really don't need to hear about it when someone says they only have 50 bucks to spend. Here is something to think about. If I could afford to buy a Mustang, I would, but its not in the budget so I can't. If I could afford to buy a Corvette, I wouldn't because I wouldn't want one. Sorry for the rant

This is sooooo true and needed to be said. These icessant Provari people are worse than any Apple fanboys.

Everyone knows that the Provari is probably the finest PV's made. The antagonism from everyone against Provari comes from having to constantly have it put in your face in way too many threads.

I totally agree with the OP! I've had this fight a couple of times in several threads, I had one get rather nasty until I finally explained my situation in detail!
The blue LED is $15, not $10! I know this for a fact as I finally scrimped and saved enough to order on last night! YES, I've ordered one, YES, I think they are a GREAT device, but I don't see the need to have one shoved up my backside, much less try and do the same to another!
I have suggested one to a newbie, they were looking at a Silver Bullet and a Kick combo, and admitted they tended to dive in head first into hobbies and didn't seem shy about spending money. I don't feel bad on that push.
The newbies with $50 to spend, there are a LOT of other options out there, I've used several of them! They work, but they are "you get what you pay for" unfortunately!
So in a nutshell, it's a GREAT device, or seemingly so, but it's not for everyone, and I think the world is a large enough place we can go a couple of threads without having one shoved down our throats, please!

There are always going to be a few posts that seem a bit off topic, as to helping the OP whether it be a suggestion for a Provari or otherwise. Just roll your eyes and scroll down to the next comment and forget about the seemingly useless post. Problem solved!

Exactly guys.. Just pass the posts that don't pertain to your question and move along.

I own a provari and many other mods (way too many mods to be honest) and I agree with the op. He has a right to start a thread and share his opinion. If you want to ignore him that's up to you titanium. Just remember that all that any of these devices do is deliver power to a heating element. That can be done in so many different ways and ultimately everyone has to find what is right for them :).

I love this thread. It's one of the reasons I haven't yet asked for advice on a mod.

"Hey guys, I need a vehicle to get to work. I'll be driving about 3 miles each way and maybe use it for errand runs here and there. I have about $8000 to spend. Any ideas so I can get the best bang for my buck?"

LOLZ, just get a Ferrari, dude!

Provaris are awesome. I want one. I don't think there's a vaper who's been at it longer than a month who hasn't drooled over one. For kicks, I went on Provape, and selected the whole kit I'd want to see the final price... almost $300??? That's not even including tanks or atties???

Yeah, I'm a cynical old man, but that doesn't seem a bit excessive to anyone? Sure, I could order one right this second. I WON'T because my wife would kill me. Having the money to buy one doesn't equate to truly being able to afford it. Not if you have any priorities whatsoever. I will eventually get one (after probably months of saving for a rainy day), but it will take some finessing and convincing her that this small flashlight sized device is worth almost $300. I mean... does it do your laundry too?

For almost half the money, I could buy a Bombshell Stinger running a 26650 battery with a kick and everything else I'd need. It's not as pretty, but is the performance going to be THAT dramatically better with a Provari? For a little more than a third, I could get a Bolt with 2 extensions running an 18650 and a kick. For 25 bucks give or take, I could just buy an eGo Spinner battery. Sure, it won't go to 6 volts, but if I run lower res devices, that probably wouldn't matter much.

In the end, they all pretty much do the same thing, and the difference in performance cannot be SO much better it justifies such a huge price increase. Part of me suspects that half of the Provari hype is simply that it has become a status symbol... and not all, but a few Provari pimps almost certainly are just using every excuse they have to say "Hey, I own a Provari."

Geez, I want one. /sigh LOL

This horse is beginning to liquefy from the beating.

I think that any of the P owners that didn't just dismiss the topic after reading the OP's initial post have gotten the message. If they have not, they probably never will. At least until a new generation of owners of whatever device they believe is the greatest available emerges to take their place. It's natural to tout your fave. Let's see if this thread (and I have no issues at all with the original post or most of the discussion) makes the "fans of product X" think twice...and only suggest when appropriate.

I'm glad that bebeau25 put this out there (though he may be regretting it at this point :)) 'cause it really did need to be said. And, members need to be able to vent on things that urk them.

Please, carry on

Tooooo funny!

In defence, much of what goes in to a P "kit" would be required for any APV; batts, charger, etc. I think we need consider only that part which is unique to the device, the actual APV itself...which is still quite pricey...and leave the rest as "assumed required for this type of device".

And I wasn't going to add anything more...ahhh well, as long as it's civil, I'm in.

This is by far the best reply :) , in this thread... Just cause you are a veteran vaper with your Provari, does'nt guarantee you are the best adviser( the best players, were rarely the best coaches)......and for the Newbies, if you have $50 to begin your vape journey please carry on to the next post, don't lose all hope in life and hang yourself coz someone suggested you a $200+ vaping program, grow up both you guys.....

Don't like my post? please move on to the next one :)

How about stop telling us what to do.
We're all adults here and don't need to be told what to do.
And yes, I told him to THINK about a Provari.
I see this thread coming to an end fairly soon if it keeps this nonsensical crap.

Says the person who told another member last night what he should and should not use for a thread title, because it bugged him. :D

Maybe I'm the only one who really doesn't care about the Provari? I think having an ohm meter right on the device is kinda cool, but eh. Perhaps I'll put the Provari mini on my future wish-list.
I'm using stick batteries at the moment, but I think my first APV will probably be a telescope or box mod. Preferably US made, although China has got some neat tricks up their sleeve (innokin iTaste anyone?)

I own a lambo 4.0 and a provari - they both do exactly the same thing. I've been a member for some time but only recently started replying. I've never told anyone "jgap". I've been pushing the lambo 4.0 starter kit for $79.99 at MyVaporStore. Before the provari i had the ego-t and was going thur atomizers every couple days. Those were expensive atomizers. I gave up and went back to smoking. When I did come back to vaping i bought the provari because i needed something that would actually work. Money didnt really enter the picture because i was shelling out $50 every 5 days for a carton of cigarettes. Would i recommend a provari? No, not with APVs doing the same thing for 1/3 the price. You know what i really want? Something much smaller in length and diameter that needs recharging and refilling every couple days.

Completely agree. I've seen a thread where two people were discussing an APV they had both had and both were enjoying using. The name of the APV was in the thread title. Some-one comes in and posts that their pvs are junk and they should get a provari.
It's totally unnecessary.
Also, when some-one posts that they have $XX to spend and they want to buy a pv now please stop the "save up and buy a provari" campaign. They have said they want to buy something now, and have said how much they would like to spend.

If it's relevant to the discussion, by all means. Recommend the provari.

But when someone's not even warmed up to the concept of a manual battery yet and aren't even quite convinced that vaping will work for them, it just kinda makes you look like a tool.

Someone who wants to find a juice that tastes exactly like their brand of cigarettes isn't ready for a provari. Just sayin'.
