Well this was one time that i'm glad I always worry about things too much.I don't buy huge amounts but I usually order a few attys and cartos every week or two and every time new stuff comes out.I hoard and probably have 20-510's,15-901's,25-801's,10-306's and 10-i06's.Funny thing is most of them are used cause I like to use only one type of juice in each atty.

As a computer professional, I really don't understand this. Isaac may know atomizers but, he really needs to look after his business a little better. These things usually don't just show up on your doorstep. They build slowly. You have time to get ready. You plan the move for minimal outage. I'll be honest, if I couldn't move an application to a new server in one weekend, I'd probably be fired. That's a planned move. In a pinch, I have to nurse the old system along while I get the new environment ready. That really sucks but, it can be done. There might be some performance issues but, they keep running. I'm not saying Isaac needs to know how to do that but, he should have hired someone that does.

The thing is this is his livelihood and he's forcing his customers to go to his competition. Some of them are going to decide not to come back. They are going to find something they like just as well. It might even be cheaper. Every day that site is down, hurts his business.

Maybe a better question is... Who appointed you as the spokesperson for "us"?

Last time I checked, he had all the same rights to speak here as you do. I think his comment is reasonable. I like Isaac too but frankly, after a 3 week absence (and site crash) without so a single comment here, I can understand some customers feeling a little bit abandoned.

I can't think of a single reasonable explanation why he himself hasn't posted here in so long. (Yeah, I know about twitter. not much there either. And this is where the customers come from and hang out.)

I read the other thread where someone asked 'what's up w/ Isaac?' or some such & the responses. Most are nice, but there's that little percentage of self-appointed, obsequious, supplier fanboy gang posers who just have to try and embarrass the guy by answering with some tripe like 'He's busy being wonnnnderfulll and making us haaapyyyyyy with new thiiiiingssss'. BTW, Do you think Isaac would want that???

So, for the record, I really think you & the rest oughta be nicer to folks... unless they have earned your 'wrath'. And the same thing goes for those who put public Thanks on these smarmy little replies.

This is a forum, not a cult loyalty contest.

('Scuse the rant. Bullies annoy my sinuses... especially when others pile on & no one stands up to 'em.)
The best way to avoid a thread turning into a flame war is to ignore this post. OTOH an explanation might be worthy to sooth what ails you.

The man is indeed doing the best he can, and if that means getting his business back up to avoid further interruptions then that is justifiable risk.

If he did indeed have the time to post here he would do so in a heartbeat, but hey what do I know. Switching servers was but the tip of the iceberg.

Yes folks on the sub take any threat or semblance of attack against Isaac very seriously, for that many have been titled fanboys and girls. Issac is more than a vendor to most of us, his calm demeanor regardless of pent up frustrations never manifest themselves towards his customers (although in many instances he would have every right to tell people - sex and travel). No he bends over backwards and many abuse his kindness and generosity. Many are not aware of what goes on behind the scene, for those never judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes.

In closing, if anyone would attack a memebr of ones family, I am sure that the family would defend that member. That is what families do. The customers that were fostered here are family and do stand up for its founder.

If that is called cult like loyalty, so be it. It is far from it. In retrospect I am glad to be an insider rather than merely looking in.

As a side note, I as well have been feeling the effects of his woes. The 308 should have been released months ago, due to logistical problems this hasn't happened. The 7mm is almost ready for release. I would have loved to receive feedback on the 308, so the negatives (if any) could be improved and the positives accentuated.

There are new things coming in, and if I thought for one second that my business venture with Isaac was in jeopardy I would move on. No, as family we stick together through thick and thin. He has gained my trust, confidence and loyalty both as a man and vendor.

His loyal follower and friend...

I've communicated with Isaac via email, and I truly believe he is not 'slacking' in any way-If I could find a better RY4, I would, but honestly, I can't, so...
People may have similar vaping experiences with .357 attys, or Dual coil attys, I don't know...
But the RY4 and Mocha eliquid stands alone IMO, and so I will simply vape up all the crap I have lying around and wait- it will come together eventually-
For the record, Vaperite RY4 is good, but in no way resembles IKV -

Same question right back at you.

I can't think of a single reasonable explanation why he himself hasn't posted here in so long.

Nor does he owe you one.

Maybe he chooses to run his business his way. At his pace, his level. I don't know and neither do you.

Fortunately everyone is free to make their choices.

I didn't think it would take this long either, but being part of the family, I'm patiently waiting... and hoping I don't have to fallback on my "other cartos".

I would have suggested this earlier as well, but maybe somebody that is in close contact with Isaac can suggest that he change the "dummy" page that is on his site. Those here that know what's going on have no problem with it.

But somebody that hears of the great stuff IKV puts out... and goes to that page... Would probably be confused, concerned, and possibly not come back. Just a simple "we have problems... will be back soon" message could be put in it's place very simply and not deter from his main effort.

Just a thought... Hang tough Isaac!!! It WILL get better!

Great idea :)

Unfortunately he cant do nothing to that page = part of the problem. Her has a hard time getting buddy to even do that prior to vapestock etc...

Thanks for the kind words I know this motivates him even more. I am not in touch as we once were (giving him much needed space) but I do know he is terribly upset that it can't bring folks up to speed.

I have done business with Ikenvape just shy of 2 years now and I just want to let others that haven't know: Ikenvape strives to:
1. give us quality products and to have them available on their site
2. give the best customer service by being available by forum, phone, twitter and skype
3. have knowledgeable members testing beta products and openly commenting in his forum
4. have a stocked supply for those who purchase from him
5. be the best Father, Husband, Friend and Businessman that he can be
Please have faith in him to work out this issue while having a family and a wife who still need his time. Understand that he is working through this to the best of his ability. Also take note that he can only work through the issue with someone else (coder/website people) and when they are available or willing.
Take note that overloading him with e-mails and calls will only delay his ability to get things back up and running.
Let's show him that we can have patience and give a bit of the friendship by being respectful and being nice to all who are not as patient as others. Being rude and leaving him ugly messages will not help him get through this. Encouragement will.
Also, take note that he is not made of money (look at his prices-he could sell his products for more) and this is a big set back for him not being able to have the site up and running (losing money) nor can he order tons of product at any given moment.

Wow Tina! Ya must have stayed up for nights dreaming up that one ;) Your eloquence is a warm welcomed addition in these times of IKV darkness. Couldn't have said better myself. One day I wish to meet in person and have a beer with the man :)

Took all of 15 minutes, but only because I suck at typing and had to edit it, then I posted it in the help forum-LMAO. Had to delete and post it in the right forum.
Once someone has done business with a person like IKV and then gets the pleasure of meeting him and his wonderful family, you understand. You feel a bit differently about the person, because they are now real to you it all starts to make sense.
We'd love nothing more than to meet you and your wife and have a beer.:toast:

I was running short. Sent an email got, got a response, package shipping confirmation in my inbox. All of this took less 48hrs while his site is down.

I don't know him, this was my first email and Only the 2nd time I've ordered anything. Great customer service and I'm now a loyal customer for the long run.

Why are people freaking, try some basic communication, it just might work.

The RY4 Gold usually has a 2 bottle limit, but Im doing it this time!

Hmmmmm, I know I ordered 6 PG bottles on my last order with him. I do need to say you are right on about the PG vs VG version of the RY4. VG doesn't hold a candle to the PG- its lacking in flavor but to each their own.

You are absolutely right! The unfortunate side to this latest fiasco did in fact build over time. The move should have been carried out in June IMO. The "professional" he had working for him was nothing but s leach and only carried out what he wanted to do vice fixing the problems. This was not a move but a total rebuild with a corrupt data base.

He is fully aware of the consequences and is torn to no avail not because the $ is not coming in, but because the customers (some) have been left stranded for the lack of a better word. I know that he would rather be here interacting with us all, and he will... because at the end of the day his customers are more important than $

I'm someone who is actually privy with information to the website situation here, I do some professional work with the guy who made the new IKV earlier this year.

From what I know...there is nothing wrong with the IKV website. IKV runs it on a shared $3.99 a month linux hosting plan, the database size got large enough to the point where the server couldn't handle the read/write consistently anymore. IKV was warned from when website opened that their server was going to be a problem eventually. Those warnings were not considered and now you have what you see here.

And for the record, the guy who constructed the IKV website is hardly a 'leech'. Joe is a very talented individual with many different clients who works as a very busy one man operation. Like I said above, I do some graphical work for him and I've learned quite a bit from the guy. If people are unwilling or unable to take the professional advice of those who do this sort of work for a living then they shouldn't be putting any 'blame' on anyone. And from what I understand Joe just made a custom opencart template for IKV and set the initial website and products up, he was never employed or contracted by IKV to maintain the website. I do know for a fact that Joe has made multiple attempts to help IKV with their situation with no response. He was locked out of the website and server...which is why you're seeing an away message from 6/12.

And also from what I understand...the owner of IKV isn't the most computer savvy person in the world and knows very little about websites and how they function. Probably why you are seeing this long of a 'down time' here.

Just thought id speak up for the other side of the coin. Thanks.

This really is not the place to bicker back and forth about who did or didn't do something nor is it the place to belittle either party. As for what happened between Isaac and Joe - that is their and only their business. Everything else is just opinion and we all know what is said about opinions... we could all sit here and go back and forth uselessly about what happened, but it's not gonna fix anything.

The main focus, or point of this thread, was to have a centralized spot to let people know that the site is down so they didn't have to start numerous threads or dig through several other threads to find out wtf is going on. All this "I'm switching vendors" and "so and so did" posting is doing nothing to benefit IkenVape or Isaac's customers at this point.
