so i got the riva 510 from libertyflights. it came with two attys , if had it about a month now and both attys no longer heat up, are they dead? or do they need to be cleaned or what?

They're probably flooded. Blow ALL of the juice out of them, reassemble one, hold it up near your ear and press the button. Do you hear a sizziling sound? If so,drip 3 drops in it and try it. Good luck.

or you can use the google forum search up top on the left. A hot water rinse and let drain every nite works well. I only lasted a few weeks on atties- went to Bogelr cartos then. There is a dryburn technique to clean the coils off also.

A month is about right for an atty. You can try prying up the center post. Get between the thread sleeve an the post and give it a little wiggle.
