Damn, just had another one die on me. Went cold again without a warning.

This time it lasted a whole two days and wasn't killed while using my passthrough.

Why don't you give us a detailed description of what you're doing. From the time you touch the atomizer until it dies. Maybe one of us can detect something that may be killing them.

This is what I do.
I vape all day and refill the cart when the vapor gets weak.
At the end of the day, I vape until the vapor gets weak, and just set it down for the night.
Next morning I refill the cart, and vape all day again.
I clean the atomizer when it tastes burnt. (About every 2 to 3 weeks)
Mine is 2 months old and going strong.

I used a new M401 atomizer when I originally posted this thread. I basically do the same thing as yourself.

When my first one died, I had posted a poll to see how everybody was maintaining their attys. I used to blow out, rinse and drip dry my atty on a daily basis. Since posting the poll I have used my new atty exactly the way you do. It never lasted a couple of weeks for it to taste burnt and for me to do some cleaning. Unfortunately, the new one just went cold on me within two days.

I had just emailed the vendor where I got it from and asked if they warranted their attys. Its always worth a try... I only have one left and some on the way. I hope I can make it.

I'm using an RN4018. I have a crapload of M401"s but haven't used one regularly yet.

HEY!!!! ANYONE ELSE WITH A 401 HERE?!?!?

Are you using carts only, or filling them with juice?
I'm using Johnson Creek Vanilla.
I fill the carts until it puddles on top.
After a week or so, I wash the cart material before I go to bed.
If I feel the atomizer getting warm, I stop and let it cool down.

I was a cart guy when I started, I guess like most noobs. Now I top off my cart with my DIY juice and occasionally drip.

I also try to stop vaping when the atty gets hot. Being that I had used a few pre filled carts, I have yet to wash out the batting yet. So Jim, I do basically the same as you. Maybe I just had a bad batch of attys.

Thanks caywen, already got that plan in the making. Expecting shipment of attys this week. After I receive my order and get my replacements, I will have eight on hand.

Dave, at nuwaysmokes.com really runs a good operation and is sending me out a couple of attys that went bad on me. He's not even asking me to return the bad ones. Good job Dave.

My opinion is whatever model you have, buy 8 more atomizers. As soon as an atomizer goes cold, chuck it - it's not worth your time trying to revive it. My plan is to keep a window of 3 months of atomizers (assuming each lasts 2 weeks, which is pretty conservative) so that I can order new ones without interruption in vaping.

I "chuck" nothing away. All bad parts go in a box, and are stashed. I don't know where you are, but here in the US, we have a possible ban looming over us. I may need that old stuff further on down the road.

Same here Jim, I'm not chucking anything away. With the people here doing experiments and researching..you never can tell if they come up with a way to revive our lifeless parts.

I was ready to eat my small investment with my two dead attys until I had emailed the supplier about their premature death. Dave at nuwaysmokes.com is going to replace them, no questions asked.

Don't toss out your dead parts..just in case. Stranger things have happened...
