I have been a strictly carto guy since I started vaping 9 months ago. I use a REO Grand at 3.7v. I finally pulled the trigger and bought two LR510 2ohm attys from Ikenvape. Two and a half days later the first atty is dead. No sound, no heat, no vapor. All you ever read on here is that attys last weeks if not months. Anyone else had attys do this? At 8 bucks a piece, I think I will stick with my 1.50 cartos...LOL

LR attys are notorious for popping out... they are made for more intense heat to the juice, from the lower voltage units (3.7's)... gotta keep em damp with juice.
then again there's duds in every batch...
I think you made a good choice in the 2.0 which should be more durable than the 1.5's... maybe Isaac can help you out.
there are less expensive LR 510's out there too. Rob used to recommend EM and he sold them on site for $5. each... try one or two and when you find a good brand, get at least 3,4, or 5 to have backups... they can last months if you treat em right.

IF you get good flavor from LR cartos, then by all means stick with them.

I like joye reg. 510's that are about 2.2 Ohm, no more than that high for the Grand.
You should be looking at attys anywhere from LR's 1.5 to 2.0 Ohm, and reg. from 2.2 to no more than 2.4 Ohm.

It was staying damp with juice. In fact, it was impossible not to flood the atty even with the reduction tube. The first 10-15 drags would be flooded and taste off, then 2-3 great flavored drags, and then the burnt taste just to start over again with the flooding. Dripping would give a consistant 3-4 great flavored drags before needing to drip again. I dont have the patience to drip, thats why I bought a bottom feed. I think I am going to stick with cartos. Every draw is the same and the flavor doesnt change from one drag to the next. I also like that I can go 30-45 min on a carto before I have to refill it. All my friends who vape with attys will take a drag or two, wait a min and take another drag or two. They will do that for about 5-10 min and put their PV down for a while. I am a chain vapor and vape non stop for hours at at time. Dripping is just way too much work for that kind of marathon vaping day in and day out. Thanks for the responses.

i felt the same way... i went with bottom feeders, since i thought carto's tasted less good. also the filler tends to burn... if you take one apart after using for a while, you'll see...you're vaping burn't stuff..
It's true, that carto's are the way to go with lots of folks since you don't get that flooding.

instead of going back to carto's i choose to drip: best vape... and i use the Pyrex drip tips... no juice coming back in your mouth, and it goes down fast.
