OK, forgive me if this has been asked or if it qualifies as a "dumb question".

I have noticed that after a few good drags my atty gets really hot, but it seems the vape is better at that point. So here is the question, does anyone know why this happens AND will it hurt the atty?

Oh yeah, I'm using a DSE901, have batteries and a USB passthrough, does the same thing with either...

Thanks,
Tracy

This is what the atty looks like inside when it's activated. Now you know why it feels hot.

I was under the impression that a red-hot atty (as the DSE901 seems more prone to being than the 510) is a too-dry atty, and once you get to that point you'd better give it more liquid or it'll get damaged. Am I wrong?

You're absolutely right. Houdini was just making a point... kinda.

Under "normal" operation an atty coil will never glow red-hot. Not even remotely close to being that hot.
