One of my local AudioKarma buddies uses a 1250 in one of his systems.
His living room system is all Mac, including the tower speaker separates.
Ripple from 1st pressing American Beauty on it is an auralgasm

I'm less of a gearhead than a musichead as long as it sounds awesome.

I’ve been bitten by the audiophilia bug or better put snake a few times. Had some nice gear through out the years, Rega, Sim Audio, Adcom, Bryston, Counterpoint, Antique Sound Labs just to name a few. But have settled on what I consider a simple system consisting a W4S STI 500 Integrated amp, Sony HAP-Z1ES digital music server, Technics SL 1210 M5G and a Manley Labs Chinook phono stage all driving a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 6’s. I am one of those nutters who feels cable are important (up to a certain extent) so all my wiring is custom made UPOCC Copper from Take Five Audio here in Ontario. WBT RCA connectors used where applicable – and not because I think they sound better, but because their functionality is second to none.

Below is a 200x magnification of my Ortofon Cadenza Black stylus - $3k cartridge. And who says diamonds can’t be Mans best friend.

The cartridge along with Project RPM 9.2 Evolution turntable was sold to fund a new Technics SL-1200G Grand Class to which I have yet to purchase.

WOW! I love this, cant imagine the sound. I really want to go to one of those audio shows, I have really never heard a system like that. (Ortofon Cadenza Black stylus - $3k cartridge) Imagine some folks calling it a needle (not I) lol Amazing so much to learn really want to look into those digital servers also never listen to one. :ohmy:this looks like a great idea! baby please dont divorce me

I think everyone should have a neighbor like you lol
Thank you for posting :thumb:

Audio shows are great for viewing equipment but difficult for evaluating. Room acoustics is poor and background noise is high. Vendors also like to showcase their prized pieces which usually is not the best match for a small hotel room. But for the purpose of checking out gear they are great.

If you really want to experience high end audio, check out any local retailers. Even if your intent is not to buy, many are very enthusiastic about the industry and will be more than willing to give a demo. But word of warning, leave the credit cards at home! If you are passionate about music, it is very easy to get sucked down the audio rabbit hole. And although high end audio can carry an extremely high end price tag, there are many excellent components that are reasonably priced.

Here’s a pic of my old Project RPM 9.2 that I recently sold.

Yes very good advise thank you.:thumb: that is beautiful it must be difficult to sell on some level, but to switch it out and up grade for something different would make it like x-mass again :) Audio show would just be for the experience. Plus i could find out how the wife feels about it lol

Fun!

Fun!

It sold fairly quickly. There are online audio markets such as Audiogon or Canuck Audio mart (which also has US Audio Mart).

Is that your system on the first page with the LS50’s? Love the vintage Pioneer. Yamaha has released a few integrated models that retain that vintage look…I think they look awesome! But I need a new amplifier like a need a new hole in my head (says the guy with a dozen mods!). But I am super pleased with my Wyred 4 Sound intergraded. Class D 250 watts into 8ohm or 550 watts into 4ohms.

@TrollDragon is into audio

His cat is too

My cat doesn’t really care much for it. If I’m listening to music she is usually elsewhere. However, she does like Death Metal! Still trying to figure out if it is the lyrics of death and destruction that plays into her evil plan of world domination, or if she just enjoys the fast double kick drum. I'd like to think the later but fear the former!

Sweet yes you are pushing some power there. I picked up 4 kef ls50s two svs ultras and a pair of jbl 590s floor speakers but sadly i have not introduced them all in the same house. I have a Yamaha 3070 now in Florida i will use in my little theater room back in Vaginia and set the pioneer up as my main and see how it goes. Also have a pair of cerwin d-9s waiting its all fun guys lol
