If you do not mind taking the tank off of the mod, the bottom fill is super easy.
- remove from mod
- turn upside down (juice returns to tank)
- unscrew bottom cap
- Fill, and replace bottom cover
- flip over, watch the juice well bubble/fill
- vape

No need to close or change JFC/AFC from where you have it set when vaping.
No leaking what-so-ever

If this was a 4-5ML tank, it would be more of an issue with the way the Boreas goes through juice, but with an 8ML tank, no issue for me.

MMW, I use these bottle caps on all my DIY concoctions - got them from FT.

yah, i think this is the route i'll be going. i fill twice a day on weekend and once on week days. so no big deal to bottom fill for me.

I'm trying to find a reason that Augvape and Roxy would NEED to design a v2 of the Boreas.

I suppose from a business standpoint, Augvape jacked up the design, because I can't see a way to improve it. (Minus the crummy o-rings - which I'd just buy, not buy a v2 for, specifically)

Most, if not all, manufacturers put out sub-quality products so you need to upgrade every so often. Augvape didn't. I think the only thing they could do as this point is make different colors or release a mini version (which I don't want).

The AFC/JFC combo is brilliant. I see some reviewers mention this as a potential con, but I don't see how. I'm vaping 100VG in this, with 2 holes open, using the 2mm deck, and I cannot make it dry-hit on me. I hope they don't separate these functions if there is ever a v2.

Can't speak for anyone else here, but it wasn't for me solely. Two decks, jfc, air options, 8ml, big decks, flavor and that part of that lady, roxy, is why I chose this.
Oh, and the price was a bonus along with a non heavily tagged up tank.

The top fill works fine for me.

I have my two Boreases (Borei?) and cant see me using any other tank right now. Once I figured out the fill procedure, I havent had a leak since the second day with my first Boreas. This thing just works. Tried to like my Aromamizer, but never did. Loved my MT, and then my Mutank, but they both got upstaged by the Ohmega Alpha and BFT. My VCMT never quite worked out for me... I got a decent vape, but not a great vape, and never could push much past 65 watts in it without getting a dryish burny hit. My Borei however... depending on my mood i can tootle at 30 watts or hot swap the deck to a monster fused clapton and rip it at 200 watts with no problems.

If they were to make a V2, I would buy it just to support the company. and heck if the Boreas V1 is so good, I can only imagine how the V2 would be!

I "forgot" to invert to drain the base and filled it to see what would happen
About a ml gushed out of the afc and down the side of my Boxer mod, dur!

I liked the MT and Mutank in spite of the fussy wicking.
Hate the VCMT, leaks like a seive and ground a 25mm ring into an RX200.
Love the Aromamizer V1 in spite of the ridiculous rubber afc ring.
Love the SC Supreme but the Boreas makes it look like last years news.
Love the combined juice/air control and whole Paint It Black look is freaking sexy.

Doesn't bottom filling this really defeat half the purpose we got these tanks? Top fill was the big selling point.

is it really that big of a selling point? maybe to you it is. to me, there's not really much of a difference of unscrewing a cap and unscrewing the tank.

if i can fit more liquid and avoid leaks doing a bottom fill, that is what i'm going to do. i'll take a bottom fill non leaking tank over a top fill that i have to wipe off after every fill.

like i said tho, i have to mess around with this filling technique a little bit more and possibly my wicking. i've only had 2 full days use of this tank. i'm just trying to figure out a filling method that works for me.

i wish i could just shut off JFC, take top-cap off, fill'er up, put the cap back on, open JFC and vape away. not JFC, take off cap, fill'er up, put cap part way on, then topsy-turvy, then turn AFC back on, then finish screwing your cap back on, then turn it back over. wait, did i get it all right?

IMO that "defeats the purpose" of having a convenient top-fill design.

do you care to share your secrets on how you have had such great non-leaky success?
Put in a lot of cotton. I drain the lower chamber, then close the jfc to about an 1/8 hole showing. Fill from top. Turning upside down for the last turn. Open jfc while tank is upside down.

I think I could add some more wick, but I can't say it leaks. I get a drop or 3 of discolored juice out the air holes on filling, whether top or bottom fill. But I don't think it's leaking, especially because of the color. I think it's a bit of seepage and condensation naturally occurring in the air passage.

I've not had a single drop come out of mine, not even condensation, I never screw with it, just close the air/juice control, take the cap off dump it full, open, and continue on. I do normally vape until its hinting at going dry, and fill then, not before. Nothing magical going on with my wicking, far as I know. Love this thing so far.
