Got my black Boreas today. Really like it so far. Filled up my man cave with Vapor clouds in no time. Now a question for the Boreas pros. The first time I refilled from the top, I followed the included instructions. I got a lot of dripping of juice from the drip tip while it was upside down. Then when taking top off, quite a few bubbles came up through remaining juice. After filled up, everything seems fine. I don't notice any leaking out of air holes, and it vapes awesome. Using dual 3mm SS clapton coils with quit a bit of cotton wick. Also using the smaller holed deck with 50/50 juice. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Got my black Boreas today too. It vapes good, but I hate filling it - I can't seem to figure how to get it not to leak when I'm doing it.

Right now I'm closing the AFC, filling from the top, and screwing in the top cap, putting it upside down for a little bit, putting it back rightside up, and then opening up the AFC. Still get leaking but less than just letting it sit rightside up the whole time so far.

Airflow is ridiculously generous, I feel like I have to crank it up to 40w at least at .3(i usually run a Crius at 25ish). Flavor is good, but I don't think it's as good as the Crius.

I have only filled mine from the bottom maybe 15 times now and I've not had one leak

I know it has top fill but bottom fill is just as easy and I fit in 8mls

You need to open up the AFC before you turn it right side up. This should prevent the leaks you're experiencing.

I am with ya on that one Paul. I only use bottom fill. I never have to change/reset the AFC ring open or closed. Yes, we do have to take it off the mod, but I HATE any leaks, even a few drops. Bottom fill avoids ANY leak or drops. It just works.

nice work! i've heard mixed comments about dry burning SS wire. i still don't really know what's right and wrong. i dry burn them when i make microcoils and lightly pulse them when doing spaced coils. i also dryburn the crap out of them when they get gunky. :)

this is a 24ga SS in my moonshot.

I figure this; what works is what's right. I've been dry burning them at low wattage (or if you want to call it pulsing them, so be it). I just use common sense according to what my coils are, thin micro coils or thick macro coils that can handle a little more heat. IDK, does that make sense?

Took Boreas apart tonight, looked over all the o-ring and rewicked with longer tails. Packed them in pretty good. Refilled twice now. No drips when it's upside down. Only nice dense vape coming out now. No dry hits either. Really liking this tank.

Happy to report my Boreas seems to be working well. I took it all apart, cleaned it and made sure all the o-rings were in tact. When putting it back together I realized that I may not have lined up the upper tank section correctly with the deck portion. I don't know how much of a difference this makes but the bottom of the upper tank section is divided in four, and I'm pretty sure I had it so that two of the cross arms were bisecting the juice slots leading into the chamber section. Upon reassembly I made sure to line them up so I could see straight through the bottom of the tank section into the juice slots on the deck section. The 'cross arms' aren't very thick so I don't know how much of an impact they could have on juice flow, but I made sure they didn't impede the flow at all this time and its been working great ever since so, who knows... Wicked just as I had been doing and now I'm chain vaping away without issue.

If anyone is having feeding issues with thicker juice perhaps this is something to look into.

Thanks again for everyone's help, and my hats off to Roxy.

I just got my black boreas in the mail. I didn't realise they added knurling to the top cap and the threads feel 100 times better.

Sorry for the bad picture. I'm driving home. I'm not sure if it's old news or not, just exciting to me lol

Edit: man the camera on my new galaxy s7 is allot nicer then my old phone lol I can see the threads in my work pants (sweat pants:p)
