AVE Boba's Bounty in my hands at long last. First impressions from someone who has waited forever.

A week ago, I finally managed to place an order for Boba's and Gorilla juice. These were the two liquids I absolutely had to try. Ahlusions, Five Pawns, Halo, HHV, AiV, BBW, Vermillion River, Want2Vape, MBV, and many more -- these were second class vaping I was told, holdovers until I could secure that long-jonesed-for hit of AVE's liquid gold, a juice so good it's ordered by the hundreds of milliliters when it's on hand. I'm sure you can see where this is going, but wait: I wanted, god I wanted to believe the hype. I did a dance as I tore open the mail. I wasn't about to become the cynical contrarian, crapping on a beloved flavor for the ....... of it. I legitimately wanted to love this. I had a new tank ready to test it. I freshly coiled my IGO-L to compare, prepared to give this its due with every bit of hardware I have on hand. It would've been OK if it wasn't hallelujah on one hit. All I wanted was some insight into what it might become with a serious steep.

My first draw was earth shattering. I never, never expected a dirty mushroom flavor from the world's most sought after liquid. I tried a few more. OK, my coil, my damn coil. Swap it out. Ugh. IGO-L time. Uh oh. Build another wick and coil for that bad dad, cos this can't be. Blarrrrghhh. So here I am, still vaping what tastes for all the world like any one of HHV's awesome RY4s that someone has dropped dirty, moldy mushrooms in wondering what went wrong. How is every single Ahlusion liquid I have on hand infinitely superior? How is everything I've ever tried with the exception of Halo's most perfumey, chemical-tasting oddities better than this? I intend to let it steep for a week or so but if this persists, anyone want to trade say 28 or so mils of Boba's for any, literally any, Ahlusion liquid?

Still working away at this, and I swear, it's a bad uncooked shiitake. Probably gonna puke if I keep it up, but I'm determined to taste the magic. Am I broken or what? How can anyone wait for weeks for this?

Try letting it steep. Don't make yourself sick trying to like it. haha

And do recognize that it really is just another juice flavor. So much of what we believe is due to the power of suggestion. That is why they tell you in sales that if you can get a person to say yes three times during your pitch, you can usually make a sale.

I'd say it's a healthy mix of hype, suggestion and the fact that it does indeed have some mass appeal that other juices don't have. I've never tried it, so I can't give my 2 cents on the flavor.

Put it someplace dark for a week or two, try it again, and if you don't like it, sell it! There will certainly be a lot of people clamoring to buy it from you, so you're definitely not going to take a hit, cash wise.

Have you tried it? I feel like a nutjob. And it isn't the "phase" when relatively new vapers hit a flavor wall, because every one of the Ahlusion liquids I got today is insanely tasty.

Boba's is also on my list of "juices people don't shut up about so I must try it" juices.

I heard good things about NLV Bounty Hunter and ordered it (when it was cheap), and I was blown away.
I heard good things about BWB Malty and ordered it - but was underwhelmed. I then tried Casablanca and was blown away.

When I eventually get my hands on some Boba's, I know better than to expect the world, but I still expect that it will at the very least be unique tasting.

I kept at it because I'm a home chef and have no food aversions. I eat around the world, ask chefs to choose what they prepare me and just love, love good flavor no matter how unfamiliar it is. My thinking is always that if a culture has come to love a cuisine, it's because its phenomenal. I eat anything. I am not picky at all with new experiences. I'm always open to new and exotic tastes, but this one confounds me.

Sorry you do not like it. I have some steeped and non-steeped BB and I can definitely taste a difference. I doubt you will like this juice in the end though as you are tasting a burned ....ake mushroom...

I am vaping BB right now and get nothing but golden graham goodness. I guess different juices for different folks. Sorry about you getting juice you don't like. Bummer for sure.

I happen to like Boba's okay, although I stopped buying it nearly a year ago and ran out about 6 months ago. It's good juice but I have too many I like better to jump through the hoops of getting an order in. That said, anyone that tells you vendors like Ahlusion and HHV are second class compared to AVE are people you shouldn't listen to again.

By the way, put that Boba's up for 2 or 3 weeks and try it again.

My BB came in the mail today, along with GLV El K, Bulldog, Ry4, and some Fasttech goodies (it was a great vapemail day).
My nic is toned down to 6mg, so it's a little light for me, but I can taste the flavor your tasting, but can also pick out the graham flavor. I dont think its that bad in a dripper, but I knew going in, it would need 2 to 4 weeks to mature. That's why I got the other stuff too. Until my BB is ready, I'll just gulp down Moon Mountain's juices like it'll all be illegal tomorrow. MMV juices are ready to vape from the mailbox, and very very good.

Edit: Oh and yeah.....Ahlusion's juices cream of the crop.

Hey GameDesigner, I feel your pain! Got my first order of Bobas GJ, Blend 4 and their version of 555............all tasted terrible and are unvapable to me. At this juncture they have been steeping almost 3 weeks and I don't wanna waste another carto or clearo on them..........mine are up for trade on the AVE site if anyone is interested. I disagree with steeping on the general principle that if it isn't good out of the mail, it ain't gonna improve (as none of my other juices have) and is a waste of time and money. It should come pre-steeped or change the formula so that it don't need it! Moving on to other tasty AND less expensive juices. Good luck!

I'm used to steeping aromatic NETs and can't complain provided the flavors truly come together and produce a new taste, which is true for several aromatics I have. Not used to having to sweat it for a non-aromatic, however, but I'm willing to try.

I was finally able to get my hands on both Bobas and Gorilla Juice and they are everything that PBusardo has raved about! I have probably tried at least 50 juices thus far in my very short vaping time but these are probably the only juices I will vape from now on.

I was in the same boat when my BB came a week or more ago. To me it just wasn't good. After all the hype I was quite disappointed. I left a ProTank full sitting on my desk and the bottle tucked away in my " I hope I never run out of good juice and have to vape this crap" box. Every time I sat at my desk I could see that full ProTank sitting there, judging me. Today, I finally gave it and gave it another shot. You know what? It actually improved dramatically with more than a week of steeping. Gone is the stale oatmeal cookie (unfrosted kind). I am starting to taste the graham cracker goodness with subtle undertones of flavor that I can not yet identify that everyone raves about. Do I find it good enough to be an ADV? No, not yet, but it is going into my rotation now.

How long did you have to let it steep? I'm afraid to try the GJ at the moment as Boba's had me thinking hard about an analogue, maybe later tonight. Can you name a few of those 50 liquids for reference?

Like you, I vaped Boba's Bounty for the first time recently. I got graham cracker right away. Still getting graham cracker (I'm still on my first Triton tankful).

I'm letting it and Gorilla Juice steep for a week.

I have no negatives about Alien Visions. What I am learning from exploring e-juices is that one vaper's Nectar of the Gods is another's DeathVape.
