AVS with 510 = Happiness !

Krom from ecigz.co.uk has just sent me the 510 adapter, so its now in place, with a standard 510 atomizer attached, and the result is just amazing....

I just couldnt get the 901 to work very well, and had to use KR808's which to me reduce the flavour far too much, so now I'm a very happy bunny indeed.

thanks cat my dear. I really think that the 510 inside AVS with the liquid control ring is the ultimate vaping. Taste, hit and smoke of a 510 are huge inside the AVS. I am glad that you are happy with it cat

IMEO... I had to actually take the o-ring completely off... For some reason even with it completely open I am not getting any juice into the atty.... Any suggestions???

Jturse, are you talking of the O ring that I had at the base of the 901? the one that seals the base of the atty to the fitting on the AVS? if so, I didnt replace it onto the 510 as to my mind, it would be a little too tight, plus the 510 bottom feeds, so it would restrict juice feeding the atty.

Now I could be totally wrong about all that, but its all I did.

If you mean the Contol Ring, then I had it closed when fitting the 510, and then just wide enough to get a a fingernail into the gap, so about 1mm or even less, and it worked fine.

Not your fault.. mine..

My adapter arrived, along with another piece, and I had no idea what to do with it, so wouldnt know what anything was called, and I didnt even know there was a control ring on the adapter...idiot eh?...

I simply screwed out the old 901 fitting and replaced it with the 510, then looked at the other piece, and thought it had to be a tip for the atomizer itself, so I popped it in the end, put everything back together, and it worked..

When it empties, which wont be long at the rate I am vaping it, I will examine it further..

is atomizer ok Jt? What you say is impossible. Does atomizer is now working without the ring?

Same here, I have to close the avs control ring and suck really hard to get any juice to the atty, the 510 connector control ring is completely open, btw it doesnt goes all the way to the connector base. Im using a LR 510 atty from HC and Octane liquid from Nhaler. Also no leakage so far.

nandy and Jt, do you unscrew the connector's pin, you totally screw the atty and then screw again the pin to make the contact? Or you just put the atomizer and you leave it where it stops and then totally unscrew the liquid control ring?

If you do it the first way then better use the second way as I have already said in another thread

I just screw the atty and leave it where it stops. I remember seen a video where you said that leave the connector pin as it comes to avoid leakage. The liquid control ring doesn't open all the way down to the base of the 510 connector.

we dont much care about if ring doesnt screw totally to the base of the connector Nandy. But maybe your atomizer cant breath from its sides holes? Please put it out of the AVS, close its center pole and try to inhale

Yes, the atty can breath from its sides holes, just like a empty straw. I will try it without the control ring.

But man the ggts+avs+510 is another device. Tons of vapors. I only need to keep the atty wet.

I am trying to explain it but its impossible. If it takes air then it takes liquid too!

Imeo. I get air through but no liquid. I put my atty all the way in. I don't touch the connector pin. It is in tight. If I hold the avs up without collector tank I still leak fluid with everything sealed from pin. Big and brand new atty

that means guys that you take air and not liquid inside atty. Is the inhale very light? Very airy? What kind of 510 you two use?

Also, what happens if you open -close the big cap of AFS? Is the atty refilled?

Showing the control ring in detail and how to set it correctly?

I always find a video easier to follow than written instructions. And yes I know you have done one already (1 of 4) where the first covers the adapter and how to use it, which I looked at after reading Jturse's second post, but it didnt help a great deal, as I couldnt hear all you were saying clearly.

And I will be 100% honest here. As I stated in my initial post, I didnt know of the control ring on the adapter, so I had not touched it, and the result was amazing. Once it was pointed out to me, I tried moving it and the result was leakage.

I also believe, correct me if I am wrong, that different thicknesses of juice were the reason for this ring in the first place.

I use a fairly thin juice, PG based, so my setting would be different to say someone using VG only, which is much thicker.

So maybe when you have time another video, concentrating just on the 510 adapter would be handy in this thread for those who have a problem, both now and in the future, plus we love videos, right guys and gals?

The inhale is very airy and Im using a LR 510 atty from Health Cabin. Today I open the big cap and tbe tank is almost empty so is time to refill, in the collector tank there is almost no liquid, just like two drops of liquid.

Wow I empty the tank in just one day and I was alternating with my other devices. LOL love vaping!!!

Imeo, I have watched the video again, following each part of the instructions as I went along, up to the 4 mins mark where you go onto talking of the ohms of the atomizer, and everything is working well, so those instructions work.

I got confused over your instructions over the mouthpiece before, hence I wasnt clear as to whether or not something there would effect the overall vacuum that creates such a good smoke, but after watching again, and taking my own apart I realise there is nothing there, no o rings etc., that I thought may have needed removal to cover the atomizer.

I dont understand the problem jt is having either, as my 510 which incidently is a Dura atomizer is not having any problem getting juice through. I just hoped being new to the AFS and certainly new to the 510 adapter, I may have been able to assist from a new users point of view.

Anyway, to help those who in doubt, here is the link to the 510 adapter and how to set it up, which after following precisely, works fine with the thinner PG juice I am using.
