I have 2 provaris and have only used the AW IMR batteries from Provape but am puzzled. I typically get 2.5-4hrs before my batt light starts flashing. I get the same time whether my batt is a 1100 or 1600mah. I run single coil Boge 3.0ohm on one provari and a dualcoil on the other. Batt time is the same on both units.
I have tried 2 different chargers with the same results. A fresh batt reads 4.0. I have o couple KGO-Ego types that are 1100 and I get 10+ hours from them.
Most provari owners talk about getting a full days use from their AW IMRs so I am wondering whats up with my batts?

I'm still pretty new with my ProVari and AW batts, but I'll answer you based on my experience:

I'm using the 18650 AW's, and am getting 6-8 hours from them consistently, I couldn't be happier with that!

I agree that you should certainly see SOME noticeable difference in runtime between an 1100mah cell and a 1600mah one. I have no idea how to even start troubleshooting that one, except to allow for the possibility that the 1600mah cell is not working correctly/to its full capacity.

You noted that a fresh batt reads 4.0 -- A fresh batt should come off the charger at 4.2v; If it isn't fully charging, I would start my investigation there. Are you sure you're not confusing the Check Battery (cB) value with the one for selected power (Pu/Pd)? I ask because 4.0 is the default setting for selected power output.

Hope this helps!

I vape moderate to heavy..
I own a Provari full size and a Provari mini
With a 18650 AW 2000 mah IMR battery I get a true all day vape
With a 18490 AW 1100 mah battery I get a 8-10 hour vape
With a 18350 AW 700 mah I get a 5 hour vape
Thats with my Provape set at 5.1 volts using a 2.5 ohm atty.

I assume you are getting the fresh battery reading with an atty attachaed (so there is resistance)? Without resistance your batteries should read 4.2 volts when fresh off the charger...
I do use a PILA charger/ best investment ever... Its been perfect for 1 1/2 years...

The 4.0 CB reading I was getting was with a carto. Just did a reading without a carto and getting a 4.1. I had no idea that I would get a different reading without a carto screwed on.
I think I will order a pila charger. I have 2 trustfire chargers that I rotate. As far as my batts I have 8 diff ones in rotation and am not getting more than 4 hours on any of them. Maybe upgrading my charger will help. Thanks for all the tips.

jn, maybe you just vape more than most. I know I do. I don't even get an "all day" out of a 2200mAh batt, (ProVari set at 3.0v). JMHO

Cheers,
otrpu

Your kidding me... You cant vape all day with a 2200mah battery with the Provari set at 3.0 volts? Something wrong there.
3.0 volts thats pretty mild...
