CANADA!!!

I joined here some time ago, but although inquisitive, I was just not ready. Well - I'm ready now and find out that Health Canada has outlawed the nicotine in e-cigs. B-crap! Sure they have no problem with all of the nicotine replacement gums, etc. but no e-cigs. I'm really angry. I'm sure there must be a way to get them here, but of course it's not legal. I just wondered what other Canadians are doing about this - not even that they can mention here. If there's a way around this - I'd certainly like to know what it is. tobacco PRODUCTS ARE LEGAL IN CANADA. If they're going to ban e-cigs with nicotine - they should be banning ALL nicotine. Tell me the logic in this! Did I miss something?

I'm not sure how the Canadians are doing it, but they are doing it somehow. This is why we are fighting our own government so vehemently... we know what the result will be if we lose.

I recommend that you get 5 posts and wait an hour for ECF to update, then you can join the Canada forum and ask for advice there (unless a Canadian comes along soon). Canada Forum

Probably depends on how the actual law banning them is.

If you read the press ecigs are banned in Australia also but in reality it's just not so. All of the hardware and 0mg juices are available here but only on the web, no retail sales. The only thing that is outlawed here is the SALE of liquid containing nicotine. However, we can BUY it overseas and bring in 3 months supply for personal use, so buying it is OK but selling it is not. Don't know whether this is the same in Canada.

Also, I don't think it would be illegal to buy some batteries, you could also buy a couple of electronic components that heat up, and then just a few small plastic cups. I don't know what you'd do with such a collection of bits & pieces!!!

From what I have heard so far it's not a banning issue rather nic juice is simply not yet approved by Health Canada.

Not sure if we can mention suppliers in here, but a simple google search, or a look through the Canada forum will give you a list of suppliers.

Danish vendors arent allowed to sell anything with nic content either, so get it from England.... Its so clearly a stunt to keep the number of ecig users down... Cant be because you can OD onit, cus you can do that with the gum too... These things have been around for 5-6 years, how long does it take to decide an aproval...

Yep, We used to call them the Sin Tax. Outrageous taxes on Alcohol and Cigarettes. Of course now that I am not smoking it doesn't seem to bother me at all. Hmmmm

i would think it would be just like how "dry counties" work here in the states. you can not purchase alcohol in these "dry counties" but you can buy it other places and bring it into the county.....only sales within said counties are prohibited.

Sorry but.... that is either baloney, or when they are "caught" doing so, they will no longer have that well paying job any longer for circumventing internal directives.
