sorry i was out for a while but back home now. Thank you to all for advises!
As per MickeyRat(and other before him/her) - answers to those 2 Q's:
1) I am spending upwards of $300 on analogs a month - so i would be willing to spend up to $300 if what i am getting is recommended by my fellow e-ciggers. I want to get the top of the line for vapor and functionality - if its really worth it will spend up to $1k on it. Lotsa of vapor(can never have enough of it) and lasting at least an hour before recharges(i can go through 6 analogs to a full pack in one sitting when working within an hour). For example i just placed a $230 order for analogs and those will last me under a month(hopefully when its gone i am fully set with my new vaping system(whatever you guys think it should be) and never have to order/buy analogs ever in my life(at least for myself)
I have to laugh. Things really have come a long way since you were doing this. I doubt anyone that is answering you would settle for less than 4 hours between charges and you'll settle for an hour. Everything we've talked about including a $60 ego kit will do 4 hours easily.
2) Like i said i am smoking mostly in my office so will be open to use something that doesnt resemble an analog - but would also(in addition) pick up something that does(and works good) for those times when i want to vape on the run
As for the best, well as in most things in this area, it's a matter of opinion. The four that come to mind are:
GG
Darwin
Provari
Buzz Pro
However, the GG is outrageously priced and almost impossible to get. The Darwin is a little less outrageously priced and almost impossible to get. There's a new kid out there that has a lot of potential called the Vmax. It hasn't been around long enough to know but, in theory it could blow both the Provari and the Buzz Pro out of the water. So we're really talking about the Provari and the Buzz Pro.
They are both good devices and I don't think you'll be dissatisfied with either one. However, there's no real magic here, a good VV device is going to do what a good VV device does. So, with just a couple differences, there's not going to be a lot of difference in the vape.
The Provari has outstanding fit and finish. It has buttons to go up or down and a nifty display. With up/down buttons, you need a display because you have no other way to tell where you are. It uses one battery and boosts the voltage. From a battery standpoint that's a little safer but, it gives it a lower top end. The Provari will top out at around 4.7V on a 1.5 ohm dual coil. That should be enough for most.
The Buzz Pro isn't a bad looking mod but, it's not as well built as the Provari. All it has is a knob and a button. You don't really need a display because you get to knowing where you like that knob pretty quickly and it's just up and down from there. It uses two stacked batts. That's not as safe but, it does have a lot of built in protective circuitry. So, I wouldn't call it unsafe. On a 1.5 ohm dual coil, it tops out at around 5.3V.
Both are well known for durability. If you think an hour between charges is acceptable, they will both blow you away on battery life. I wouldn't sacrifice the battery life to go with the Provari mini though. The Provari is more expensive and for me the difference isn't worth it so I own a Buzz Pro.
As for what to put on it. I don't like filler so I don't use tanks but, they are very convenient. Fill up the tank and you're good for the day. On the Provari, I'd probably go with the Phiniac tank. Notcigs sells an M1A1 tank in the same colors as the buzz. With matching colors the M1A1 looks pretty good on the Buzz so that's what I'd recommend if you choose to go that way.
