I can't believe I forgot about this forum for over a year now. When I last tried the e-cigs, I was having problems with making the transistion from analogs. Then things went from bad to worse when I lost my job, then a so-called friend took off with all my equiptment (was loaning it to him, and now he doesn't talk to me. Have no clue where he is now).

Well, as of today, my doctor put me on Chantix to help me quit smoking. When I saw him yesterday, we started talking about using e-cigs as well, just using them with the 0mg. Since I don't have much money left, went and got the Encore system (for now) and 0mg Strawberry cartos. Now I'm feeling like I'm having some success in getting rid of analogs.

I know I have the addictions-- both from the crap in analogs and the motions of smoking. This setup seems to help me out. Am I just weird, or have others done this same type of combo to quit?

Hey. I wanted to share my experience. I had a lot of problems quitting before. I tried nicorette, nicotrol (inhaler) and chantix. The nicorette was moderately successful, but I think I needed the physical motions and I eventually went back to cigarettes. Nicotrol just didn't work at all. Chantix was successful in reducing my need for nicotine, but the way it made feel mentally was not good, aggressive and depressed.

One big reason none of these worked for me is that I had been smoking since I was 12. I am 34 now and smoking was a major component of my identity.

I picked up an eGo-C on 1-8 of this year and I have not really craved cigarettes since. I am using a RY4 at 24mg and clear cartos. vaping works for me as it fulfills the physical sensation, the need for nicotine and it provides me with an interesting hobby that allows me to redefine who I am and what I am interested in.

I am optimistic about the prospects of staying cigarette free. I hope you have success as well.

I was on Chantix when I started to quit but kept having terrible withdrawal symptoms. (I'd smoked for 32 yrs.) I picked up a disposable ecig, tapered off of Chantix, got permanent equipment and haven't had an analog for nearly three weeks. I am doing great now and without the side effects of Chantix. (weird dreams, horrible gas, stomach problems...)

ETA: your combo sounds great if it works for you. Whatever it takes.
