After about 4 good months off analogs, I went back out. My complaint was the constant fussing around with liquid, dripping, carts, busted attys, etc. Way too much of a hassle. Cigs are just easier. But I have come to a point again where I would like to quit, and get back on the pv train. Unfortunately I cannot find most of my old equipment, and believe me I had a lot. Had a prodigy, 510, 801, 601, and more. Im considering making another purchase, but I thought I'd test the waters and see what consensus is for the least amount of hassle. I think im done with mods, too many connection problems.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Personally the 801 has been the least hassel for me. I only drip, as I hate fussing with carts and the difference between low and high bridge attys.
I use an 801 atty, USB Passthrough, and a Kensington Power Pack. With this setup I am good to go at all times. The power pack lasts me at least 24 hours and usually more with no drop off in performance, LED readout on remaining battery life, and very small (about the size of a small and thin cell phone).

ya I had an 801 from eastmall and every battery I ever bought broke. What I'm looking for is the ecig with the least hassle; something I can just pull out and smoke without needing a bottle of liquid, a few attys, and a few batteries everywhere I go. I do not like being in a bar and whipping out a bottle of liquid and breaking apart my pv to get a few drags. I noticed the mahmba mod (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modders-forum/24832-mahmba-concept-pv.html) a few months ago and got really stoked because this effectively eliminates all hassle.

Any other ideas?

I've had my Apaptever mod since mid-October and love it. I have one charger and 4 batteries. I don't need that many batteries but I like to be prepared. Never know when I'll end up sitting in an emergency room all night or in the hospital for a few days.
Anyway, it's a tank. I've accidentally dropped it several times from say 3-4' and never had anything break on it. It's landed on concrete, ceramic tile, cement pavers. Never had an issue with it. It comes with a spare parts bag (which I do carry around with me in my supply bag, Just in Case). As of yet I have not had to use any of these parts. But it is good to have for my own peace of mind.
I carry the charged batteries in the little clear battery cases I bought from Battery Junction while the spent batteries go in a blue case.
I've always used an 801 atomizer because I like it. But with this unit I am able to use a 510 or a 901 by just changing the adapter. I can also use it at 3.7V or 6V. Although I have not been interested in going beyond the 3.7V as of yet. But with this unit I do have that option. Hence, the name I guess. ADAPTEVER. Atomizers and voltage options.
I did quite a bit of research before I bought it. It's worth the money, in my opinion. It's a no LED's, no fuss, no frills unit. And I bought it because I thought it would be just that. It's a work horse. It's well-built, dependable and easy to use and it works every time. AND, I might add, it's a hand made unit. A very well made one at that. Check the website. AdapteveR.com.
Thad, the guy who makes them, is a great guy to deal with.

I have a JuiceBox by Carlos49 on order, I'll let you know when I get it. He's running over a month behind filling orders, so don't get excited about getting one next week.

Meanwhile, I've ordered adapters so I can use cartomizers on my big-battery mod at high-voltage.

Let's face it they are all a hassle. We are constantly switching atomizers, changing batteries, mixing eliquid, stuffing carts etc. Once the new wears off it defnitely becomes a chore. We continue to look for the throat hit and a lot of vapor. Whenever you go somewhere you have to load up with chargers, plenty of atomizers and extra batteries and the eliquid. If you are like me you have bottles of elqiuid around you house and numerous chargers plugged in. You are constantely dripping or stuffing carts. You have to clean atomizers. If you switch flavors you have to have numerous ecigs separated with the differrent flavors. If you are like me you spend way too much and keep ordering and trying different kinds and different flavors. I am still waiting to break even.

This is all a hassle.

Yes, all e-cigs are a hassle compared to buying a pack of smokes and just lighting up.

BUT I try to remember the hassles involved with smoking, and they are many:

  • Stinky clothes that can not be worn twice (more laundry)
  • Stinky house (more cleaning - especially windows, blinds, woodwork)
  • Burn marks and nicotine build-up on furniture and household items
  • Stinky hair and body (worse than we knew)
  • Ashtrays (wretched smell and constant emptying & cleaning)
  • Social exile
  • Bronchitis/pneumonia/cough/other health-related problems

Yes, I think the hassle of e-cigs is well worth it. I don't mind. In fact, I'm really starting to enjoy the tinkering - but it would have been detrimental to me in the beginning to have one of those models that need constant attention.

Just as an experiment try using a neti pot for 2-3 weeks-

It will clean up your sinuses and your sense of taste and smell.

It allows you to actually feel and taste what your doing with your equipment.

This has been the single most hassle reducing thing I've done to reduce the

"heartbreak of vaping" i.e. endless screwing around with equipment.

I now spend 98% time enjoying vaping and 2% time maintaining equipment.

I've tried HV mods but now regular 3.7 V anything are just great.

I'm using a lot less juice to get a lot more satisfaction.

For me this was the key to a great vaping experience.

It takes a bit of patience and virtually NO cash. It has been nothing short of

amazing to me.

My biggest hassle was batts constantly loosing power and having to reorder. I just got the screwdriver for home and work (at home) and 510 for out and about only. I did find that the filling method on TWs site works better for me. That and carrying prefilled capped carts for the 510 when I am out. Battery on my SD ran 24 hours without recharge one less thing to worry about.
