People will like what they like...
Me I'm with you in 4+ years I've never found a carto that I've truly liked....
I find nothing good or convenient about them..
In fact I hate cartos with the intensity of a thousand suns...after 4 years I'd go back to analogs before being forced to use a carto ...

But that's me and my personal preference..I won't try to talk people out of them....but I certainly won't suggest them to a newbie either...

What happened was after the Chinese new year holday Boge restarted production, but their polyfill supplier didn't. So they used whatever they could get. Tasted like dirty sweat socks, and you could only get about 3ml of liquid through the carto before it clogged.

. I was unsure what the details were. Thank you

I might have been too harsh with my comment. I have a Kanger PT2 which had a gurgle, but I bought a PT Mini 2 base and use it instead of the OEM base and now my PT 2 vapes great. I'm new to carto tanks, but after research the iB Tanked with 2 hole cartos are a dream and really easy to use.

DavidAmonettNashville,

LOVE your avatar man... a profile and a 1/2 frontal in one! I would ask how in the world you did that, but...

Last week, found a deal on some cheap cartos and plastic tanks, decided to give them a try. These are "OK", but nothing to write home about, and the draw is too stiff for me. Maybe now that I have some (at least functional) tanks, I'll try some better cartos... then if I like them, get better tanks, who knows.

I've been back on ecigs since last April, mostly Evods, Protank 2's and T3S's... been rebuilding the coil heads for about 6 months now. They've kept me off cigarettes, but once I got some Aerotank bases for the PT2's and sterile rolled cotton the vape is off the charts!

Guess you could say I'm still on the fence with cartos and tanks, but willing to try anything.

I'm one who likes carto tanks and clearos both for different reasons. My IBTank carto tanks are very well made and deliver consistently good flavor and vapor production. My EVOD clearos are very portable on my ego twist batteries, and also provide good flavor and vapor, but they can be inconsistent in certain environmental conditions (humidity, temperature, etc). Both bring forward different notes in my liquids, which I like as well.

OP - As others have already said, congrats on finding a setup that works for you. That's really all that matters.

So I tried a cart/tank, it's good but too much hassle, I got some vivi nova megas, these are awesome, consistent hit, easy to fill.
Been using these for a few weeks and still not needed to change the wicks. How much easier can it be than to unscrew the top, put the juice in and screw top back on? When I think of the stupid amount of time I wasted on cartos it makes me laugh, I have a decent batt that lasts at least one and a half days, vaping is so much easier now. Hats off to whoever invented these tanks. I did think the carto/tank was good but why have the hassle when the difference is minimal.
I could never toss cartos for a Vivi nova but I have moved on to Sophia in my tanks. I still think cartos are a good option though.

I'm all about convenience. I'll sacrifice a bit of flavor for simplicity and ease of use. I use the Aspire ET-S for my ego twists, and the Davide King for my lavatube and couldn't be happier. Just fill and forget about it. Both are glass tanks so I don't have to worry about which juice I'm using. Each tankfull will last me most of a day, so I just carry a pre-filled spare. No leaking, no gurgling, no dry hits.......... just great taste and tons of vapor.

For smokers who ask me what they should get, I always recommend the VV ego and the Aspires. Some people are born tinkerers but most people will give up on it if they have to fiddle too much. This is about as easy as it gets, and performance is great.

I'm glad you found something that works for you. I've found filling carto's to be just as easy, if not easier than filling say - a protank. But, I'd rather just slide the tank up and pull the top off as opposed to pull the tank off and unscrew the bottom. Kind of six of one half dozen of the other really. And, everybody has different amounts of taste buds on different regions of the tongue associated with different flavors. I think the blanket statement "Never use carto's again" is going to get the response it inspires. Just as you'd prefer us not to dismiss your preference, your thread title seems do dismiss the preferences of others. Many of which have a lot more experience. Best of luck!

i was about to drop cartos altogether until i figured i been doing them wrong for a year. Now im soo happy i could dance. I am still going to get a RBA though but it seems like you gotta drop your Nico Levels because they hit soo hard so id need 2 sets of juice which is meh.

But im the only one still using cartos in my group of Vapors.

I just received my first ever ibtanked set up. Got the XL and the standard. Best thing I can say about them is they hold a boat load of juice. I don't think the vape experience is so much improved that I would toss my Kanger PT2s (with Aero base) I will have these new tanks in my rotation tho. I think Kanger PT 2s are much easier to refill, coil change outs, less messy. But it's great that one ibtanked standard size (22mm) tank full lasts me all day. I do think the draw on ibtanked is too tight tho. And using the ring I got from them with my Provari is REALLY tight draw. I don't use it at all now.

My fairly recent rediscovery of carto tanks hasn't meant I put everything else aside. I've got a KFL which I like a lot but it's just the one and not exactly hassle free. I also have Protank 1's and Protank mini's that I use. All have their place for me. I'll stick a Protank mini with 1.8 Ω coil on a old school fixed voltage eGo because it's very pocketable. For me they all have their place and I enjoy them all.

Beats the hell out of what I was faced with 4 years ago!

ujack; congrats for finding what works for you. that's half the battle. vape on and enjoy.

the draw has nothing to do with the tank. it's all about the cartos. you might want to try some suggestions if you prefer a loose draw...

Boge 510 LR Stainless (Laser Punched - 2 hole) - (5pack)
for your standard tank.

Boge 510 XL LR Stainless (Laser Punched - 2 hole) - (5pack)
for your xl tank.

https://www.ibtanked.com/accessories/tool/ibtpro-22-stainless-steel-detail
beauty ring that won't tighten the draw.

refilling drip tips here... https://www.ibtanked.com/accessories/tool

that ought to provide a draw very similar to one from a protank with no blockage.

also, using a refilling tool without taking the carto tank off the mod makes it easy to refill...

switch out the drip tip.
slide the tank up.
fill it.
slide the tank back down.
switch back to the drip tip.
vape on.

hopefully that can save your ibtanked experience for you.

Thanks Beckdg. I will give this brand of cartos a try. I wasn't sure what was the reason for the tight draw w/o the ring. And I did use that ring your link had. Perhaps it will do better with dif cartos. I'm not giving up quite yet :)

more than welcomed. good to hear you're not giving up right away. hope it works out well in the end. be sure to use coupon code new10 on surevapes on your first order that's worth saving 10% on. i know it definitely works after your first order. i just don't know if it works more than once. it's supposed to be for first timers to their site. i just missed the mark on it on my first order or two.
