Curious as I have heard a few new vapers mention it? Going back and forth between Analogs and vaping or using both.

How many of us have moved to vaping and never looked back?

I for one took up vaping and that was that. No looking back, no going back. And now when I think about Analogs it seems somewhat barbaric, what with the ashes and burnt butts and smell.

Just sputtering crap out that's on my mind. :2cool:

Once you get over the learning curve it's pretty easy to just vape and be done with cigs.

Only problem I'll have is when a social situation calls for me to have a cig. Then I'll bum one and have a smoke with someone. I enjoy the smoke break conversations or the sharing of a cig still. It's no problem though and I might just feel a little worse body-wise for a day or so from the cig, but no biggie.

I never have any problems getting addicted to them again or anything though. I can go back to vaping and am fine.

The transition for some is harder than for others! Certain triggers hit some people harder than others such as stress and depression! I smoked 50 - 60 smokes a day for over 30 years and honestly thought it would have been alot harder for me! During certain stages of my life this may have not happened the same way!
Also being around smokers alot could also have a huge factor! I quit drugs and alcohol by removing myself from tempting situations and replacing my friends with ones who aren't in that life! I don't judge people by what they do but can't be involved in it anymore! It's not the same with cigs! Can't hardly dump your friends because they smoke!
By the wat been clean and sober for 18 years now! My children were the determining factor for me!

When I started vaping I didn't actually plan on giving up the analogs. I also started with some pretty crappy ecigs which I think has a lot to do with people going back. Most people want to start with a small, cig look alike or fall for one of the heavily advertised POS, and then find that they aren't going to do the trick for various reasons.

For me once I found the right ecigs for me I just lost the desire to smoke. It was quite a natural progression for me.

Unfortunately not everyone can quit easily. I for one have tried to completely quit using analogs for 2yrs with no success. At work I have no problem vaping but at home and when I'm out and about seems to be much more difficult for me. On the plus side I have cut back from almost 2 packs a day to less than 1/2 a pack.
Just remember everyone is different and what works for one does not necessarily work for someone else. :D

Straight to vaping. I think it helped that I didn't even like the emergency cigs I had around - only only used to smoke them because I could not afford my fave cigs any more at $64/carton. And I made it easier on myself by getting a totally spare battery so I could leave my ecig set up overnight because disassembling it at night and reassembling the the morning was disruptive to my usual patterns.

I expected a gradual transition from analog to e-cig, was at 1+ PAD (lite or ultra) for a long time, 25 yrs or more. For the first 2 days I smoked about 5 tobacco cigs and vaped in between. That was 2 months ago. Straight vape now and I don't miss the tobacco one bit. One new vaper I know is having 1 or 2 analogs a day. Whatever it takes. I'm proud of her and I tell her that.

I have between vaping about two months I stopped the analogues until one night I was drunk and my batts ran out.. I had three cigs that night and phisically felt bad I'm trying to find a new e cig and have realized I'd rather not smoke if I have no vape. I smoked about a half pack to a pack a day.

Actually there have been times when I 'wish' I could smoke an analog, but I just can't.
A week after being on the stick I tried an analog and after about 3 puffs I simply couldn't stand it anymore, Not the taste, the smell, nothing,
I tried again in a couple of days while I was drinking and the e-cig wasn't giving me the hit I wanted and same thing...except it didn't take 3 puffs, One puff and it went in the gutter,
The next and last time I tried I got so far as to put one in my mouth and reach the front door before I reminded myself that I couldn't stand them the last two times and nothing would be different now, I never even lit it.

after more than 45 years of smoking 1 to 2 packs a day I didn't expect, nor was I looking to give up analogs when I started the e-cig, It just happened...and happened almost immediately.
