Hi guys im new to this section of the forum.

I am a potential newbie to world of modding i am uninformed on almost everything electrical. However i do understand the difference between a parallel and series circuit.
I do not know how to solder and have failed the last 2 times i have tried miserably.

I am here because what i want is not widely produced by Chinese companies (i cant afford custom US made products).

I want to build a dual (potentially triple[if it is still possible to handle with only one hand])18650 mech mod.

But since i am a complete newbie i almost have no clue where to start what reading i should do nor where i can inform myself on such a project(google has not helped me very much as there are no current guides for dual 18650 unregulated mods). Along with that i would need to know what skills i must acquire before tackling such a project.

I am not coming here with the expectation of being spoon fed the information(would not complain if someone did so ;D) but a mere point in the right direction would be of great help.

Soldering school is a one day class in most technical programs. Then, you do your own practice work and build experience. This video will get you started with the basics and you can watch all the soldering videos in the sidebar for additional info.

Basic electricity and basic electronics are subjects that can be learned for free over the internet.

There are mechanical mod kits you can build, but you need to read heavily on the pitfalls of using a mech mod. Electronic mods employ failsafe devices to prevent a shorted atomizer from starting a process in the battery that may cause heat, spewing, and possible flames and explosion.

Mech mods will allow you to make mistakes. They will allow you to press the button and fire up a shorted atomizer. Before that happens to you, you need to know the pitfalls and how to prevent problems.

Know what you are doing before you begin to build your own. Learn from the experiences of others. Don't be the guy who blows himself up and causes a news story to hit the TV and the newspapers. We don't need bad press about ecig mods! :)

I'd rather see you buy an inexpensive mech mod at first to get used to how it works, then build your own.

Here's a good place to get started.
