I dug out my first vape a couple weeks ago, cleaned it up and everything. Its an istick 20w. Nautilus2, had one new coil left for it. Definitely a MTL setup which, when i bought the nautilus2 i was actually ready to start DL and used it as such. But now, im kinda liking it again. For a MTL tank, its still a cloudy little thing. The juice is a cream flavor at 18mg, a store brand from a local vape shop. Its one of the first juices i tried (not the same bottle though) when i started vaping over a year ago. Gotta say, i believe im gonna park my DL for a while and give this "new" old setup another spin. So, i find myself back at the beginning of my vape journey. Anybody else made this back-step before and how did it work out for ya?

I went back to cig-a-like devices after trying full size gear for a while.

Yet with updates to coils and juices it's a win-win by obtaining a cigaratte mimic type drag with reliability and runtime unavailable 10 years ago. Pod systems are getting pretty good at providing a lightweight vape with satisfaction of full sized gear.

I know what you mean about the iSticks. Though I have plenty of higher powered, more expensive mods...I still love and use various iSticks in daily rotation. Have more on the way for my stash, too. I mostly use Berserker MTL RTAs on them, but also the Aspire K1, the regular GS Air, and even some older Innokin 16D clearos at times on them. I get a nice vape, to me, with each combination. My 1 and only Nautilus Mini has sat unused in my rack since I first tried it several years ago. I didn't like it at all.

I'm using roundwire in my rotation again for the first time in like 3 years.

I can't do MTL but i've gone from 0.1X to the 0.5Xs and even 0.6Xs. It's not as satisfying for me but it does the job good enough. Sometimes when i'm in bed or early in the morning I don't feel like taking 100W hits living in a fog. A nice 40W DL tootle puff has been a welcomed thing. Especially in the car.

I still vape in the 0.1Xs but i'm not doing it all day anymore.

I've tried going back to my Svoemesto Kayfun Lite Plus RTA and Kabuki clone (Nautilus coils) within the last year, and just couldn't do it. The draw was too restrictive (MTL) and I had work too hard to vape them. My cheeks were sore from sucking so hard.

Just picked up some more coils for the nautilus2 and some 18mg juice. Plain strawberry flavor, nothing special. Tastes like tfa strawberry ripe by itself. Not a bad thing though. Simply strawberry. I know me though, ill be mixing something in it soon lol. But im gonna give MTL another go just for something different. And i do agree, its kinda nice first thing in the mornin as opposed to a major 70w plus lung blast.

Have you tried a wider DT? I use those 810/510 ones.

Yes, I have tried a variety of different drip tips. The issue is the air hole on the KFL is too small and restrictive. I've removed the screw completely to allow the most air flow. I've heard some people have actually drilled the hole out to be larger, but I wasn't willing to go that far with a $120 tank, fearing that it would leak liquid. Besides, I don't know anyone with a drill press.

I first discovered vaping in 2014. Have been smoking since 1991. The first device was an IJOY Estick. Really loved it the first few days. Then I began to notice how much work it all was. So I went back to cigarettes right away. From 2014 onwards I would vape every now and then but didn't do the trick. However, last month I went back to vaping. Did more research on how to enhance the use of my device and what types of devices would be best. Last week started DIY for my flavors as well. Let's see how it works out. So far in the last few weeks I have spent well over a $1000. But I don't care how much money I am spending if it keeps me away from cigarettes.

I couldn't go back to my very first setup because it was primitive stuff you probably can't get anymore! I moved to these MTL things you can still get in some supermarkets in the UK with a brand name '10 Steps' or something which were similar. I wouldn't want to go there again, they were like the ur-juuls - draw activated device with tnon - refillable proprietary cartridges. Stuck with them for a surprisingly long time now I look back!

Every proper tank I've had (since about 2015) still gets useage to this day though. I regularly use an ego battery set up with old school aspire clearomisers for when I just want a quick and discreet vape especially if I'm indoors. They're perfect back up devices, I always have one in my bag for if I'm out and my battery on my main tank dies or other issues...
