I have (somehow) a steeped bottle from November '11, and a fresh one from this batch....
Fresh The caramel flavor is very dominant, gives you kind of a sharp, heavy tobacco taste....
steeped After about the first few weeks, the vanilla starts to shine through, the caramel isn't as evident as it has blended beautifully with the vanilla and tobacco. Smooths out like a baby's ....! Reminds me of smoking an actual tobacco pipe.
So try it fresh, if it's not your thing right away, don't give up on it!!! This stuff is gold after it steeps! The vanilla flavor is ridiculously amazing....
