Hey matt i own a Ultra* model and its great , its very small and takes 14500 batts. If you enjoy dripping the apex line is what you looking for ! Just make sure to not mistake the RES with a tank because it isnt and you will see why these mod shines ; regarding the polishing it depends on everyone hands 
i polish mine rarely i just dont care for it being like a mirror.
