Thanks Whis! ;)

I know I am going to have to rethink my longterm storage plans for my ejuice stash now that it appears you can start drawing some conclusions from 6 months of the nic level test madvapes is doing. I am going to have to start thinking about storing some of them in the refrigerator for the longest term storage, and the rest in the closet it appears. :(

I really wish that one of the items was stored in a dark place but at room temperture to isolate whether or not it was the temperture or light, or a combination of both that was causing a rapid loss in nicotine mg level of 1mg per month after a couple of months near a window.

Honestly, I Have been vaping this september 3 years and I never even thought about my juices loosing Nic Mg...And if they did due to the way I stored them, I sure never noticed it vaping them, so I am not worried about it...I'll just keep doing what I do...LOL

Not to Frig is what my boss says;);)

My understanding is that if you refrigerate them you should only do it once for long-term storage. That if you take them out and put them back in, that you start getting condensation that will change or ruin the flavor. So you would only keep it in there until you were ready to start using that container, and then you would keep it out after you started using it.

Whis... have you ever stored juice for long periods of time such as 1 year plus? The reason I ask is that the FDA does have me somewhat nervous, and if they manage to really screw things up then I would like to know if I could store it for long periods of time without it significantly losing it's nic levels. ;)

Paranoid I know... but it would not stun me either... the level of ignorance regarding e-cigs and juice in the political realm is truly frightening!

They said the type of procedure he's having for valve replacement is experimental and his isn't an emergency so they want to have him wait for a few more to be done first...I know it sounds scarey, but its not really...the way they want to do his , is to fish it up with a cath inside a stent , instead of cutting his chest open.
Whisky, I know you must be worried about your dad. I just wanted to let you know that they managed to get my step-dad in for this procedure last week. His case was a difficult one because he had some calcification in his arteries which made getting the cath inserted difficult, plus his aorta is twisted. Despite the difficulties, the procedure went extremely well. He was up and about the next morning. It is amazing! You would never even know he had just had major heart surgery. They kept him in the hospital 3 days to monitor his blood pressure since it was so low. They generally only keep patients 2 days. He is back at home now and doing very well.

The waiting and worrying beforehand is the most difficult part I think, lol.

Im not sure if you get Madvapes newsletter but they have been doing long term storage testing with a lab. There is very little difference in how you store it as long as its not exposed to light. Dark space and refrigerator yield almost the same results. Once you factor in the condensation aspect of the refrigerator I cant see any valid reason to store there. That said, High concentration of straight nic (50mg or higher) should probably be kept in the freezer for long term storage.

Long term storage of any juice should likely be done after transferring them to a glass bottle for optimum flavor retention.

    Thanks Mr. Ruppy, Well put!!!!:):)

Thanks Ruppy and Whis... if the juices are kept in the mail packaging that they came in, would that count as a dark place since the boxes are closed? Or should I move them to the closet to better ensure that it is dark? What are your thoughts? Thanks for weighing in guys and gals! :)
