I have a question about steeping?

I am new to vaping and have placed my first order of BackWoodsBrew to try on my new Leo. They should both be here tomorrow (OMG I CAN'T WAIT) LOL, sorry...

What are the recommended steep times for these blends?

Casablaca
555
Applewood
Maxboro
Mocha
Cola
Hunters Blend
Menthol
Watermelon

* The Casablanca is a 30 ML, the rest are 10ML. I don't know if that makes a difference. Do I steep them stored in the fridge or a dark warm or cold place? Are they light sensitive? Do I open them or leave them capped? and most important...Are there ANY that can be used right out of the mailbox?

Thank you :)

Casa/555 - first time I tried it out of the mailer, I found I needed at least a week. Now? I can't wait till it hits the mailbox - once you understand the tastes, it's good out of the mailer but starts hitting its peak 3-4 days in.

Apple - good right out of the mailer - softens up around a week.

With that said, you should always try everything right out of the mailer - if you don't like it at first, set it aside for a few days and sample again...

My suggestion to you is, try them, if you like them they are good to go and will only get better with age, if you find that they don't have a strong flavor profile, put them aside and visit them later on.
There's no right or wrong to steeping it's different for everyone, so just crack em open try em, and have some fun!!!

BTW I'm a ra-tard, for some reason I didn't specify on my carmel cap. the mg and it ordered in 0mg. Typical that someone like myself who has ordered from Don many times would be the ..... who doesnt check his order over carefully before placing it.

Oh well, Don is probably so slammed I'm not even gonna bother him with it, It's not the end of the world.

I suggest you vape each and everyone of them straight out of the mail box first. If you find some that just don't taste good then put them away in a cool dark place. Never put your e-juice in a fridge. I have read that this could cause condensation inside the bottle and possible bacteria growth could follow. Just a dark closet is all you need. I've personally never took the caps off but some folks suggest t pop the caps off for 24 hrs then re-cap them and let them steep.

Bottom line is that everyones taste are different and you just need to have fun and learn what works best for yourself. With that said... I also suggest you force yourself to hold back any of the juices you like on day one and hide them away for about 3 weeks. What you will then have is something truly amazing. Especially Don's tobacco blends like Applewood and Casablanca.

Good luck and have fun!

Thanks everyone. I am already looking for the mailman...and it's Super Bowl Sunday! I think I will just try a few when they come to get me through the day. How many ML does an avg, heavy Vaper go through in a day? I purchased a total of 200ML and I don't know if that is a ridiculously high amount or just enough to get me through the month. How long does the flavored e-juices stay good? I mean, is there an expiration date on these or a recommendation?

I'm personally about 4.5ml/day now - looking to cut back though. I, like most of us newer converts, kinda get a lil vape-happy once we find our 'sweet spot'. And no, there is no 'expiration date' - in my case, shelf-life isn't a factor for me - don't think I've been able to keep a full bottle of BwB around for more than a month...

I was a pack and a half Red smoker for close to 30 years and I can go through anywhere from 3ml to 6ml a day and when I order I try to get enough to last me a month to keep shipping cost down and pinch every penny. lol

As far as I know there is not an expiration time on e-juice as long as it's stored properly. To be honest I don't think any of Don's juices last more than 2 months around my house. And those are only the ones I don't vape that much of. :) I'm sure any e-juice is going to weaken over a long period of time though.

So glad we're back in action. I ordered some danang cappuccino flavor from valuevapor while I was waiting and it tastes like a cross between cat piss and Chinese food with a hint of caramel. I mixed it with my left over maxboro to make it smoke-able. Here's what I ordered.

Backwoods Cappuccino Size: 30Ml (= $16.50)
Strength: 12mg

1 Backwoods Caramel Cappuccino Size: 10Ml (= $6.50)
Strength: 12mg

1 Backwoods Brew Applewood Tobacco Size: 10ml (= $6.50)
Strength: 12mg

1 Backwoods Cafe Mocha Sizes: 30ml (= $16.50)
Strength: 18mg

1 Backwoods Brew 555 Tobacco Size: 15Ml (= $9.00)
Strength: 18mg

Just shy of 100ml so I am pretty stoked.

As far as trying the stuff out of the mailer, I agree with previous posters. Give it a shot and see how it tastes from the envelope. My maxboro didn't need steeping at all. :p
