Thats an even longer story Brutus...Both threads are in the outside & have been going on a long time...
The snail thread is the one that has just about the most posts on it in the entire forum...Its mostly a chat thread & snails are what we call ourselves
who have been on this thread since it started...Jokers thread was started by Jerry RM & started as a joke about finding J0ker & became another thread like the snail thread...There...done ...LOL

Sky, Fudgey was the first to come out with an M&M...then her Vet day was coming close so our groups started finding the M&M's to use as Avatars to welcome her day as a Vet...whew...thats how it all started...Now another person(Tibs) in the Groups is becoming a vet tomorrow & we all chose Betty Boop Theme Avi's...We are all a crazy & Fun bunch!!!(Snails & Jokers)

Yes,Don's feeling a bit better.I spoke with him yesterday...But he's still pushing himself too hard IMO...

Hi whiskey. Thanks for telling me. I think that is neat that you are doing that. I know it sounds silly but seeing all the M&M's brightens my day. lol

Yes, I have no doubts Don is working too hard. I do hope he gets well soon.

Whis, we should also mention that the goal of the snail thread is to get the "last post", which will never happen, because the snails won't allow it.

Brutus, the Response on Threads (snail thread) just celebrated it's one year anniversary and it's 100k post. The j0ker thread is a bit younger and was started last June.

we had some pretty hellish wind the last couple days i was at my cabin, but like you at least the snow is nearly gone. Only thing left is the once huge piles at the end of my driveway. Apparently we are going to get a couple inches overnight tonight though. After the last couple winters an inch or two hardly even counts as snowfall.

some sagging to the section of roof covering the porch, but its fixable. I propped it up with a make-shift column until I can get either a real carpenter or some real tools up there to fix it right. But it will hold for now. Otherwise its in pretty wonderful shape. Got some downed timber to clear off the trails when spring hits, but thats every year. Pond was still frozen solid in spite of the string of warm days. Didn't see a single deer the entire time which I would normally say is unusual. But the deer are probably just smarter than I am and knew well enough to hunker down in that wind.

Thats true, the deer know ahead of time whats going on with the weather! Thats good...the porch roof shouldn't be that bad to fix...

yeah i'm not worried about it. I really could handle it myself but my selection of tools up there is pretty basic. I'll have to plan a work weekend for early spring so I can fix the roof, clear the trails, get the 4 wheelers up and running, and if there is any time left over after that maybe i'll be able to fish. LOL
