Afternoon folks, hope everyone is beating the heat or at least hanging in there, just checked the temperature here at work and in 1 room with tin roofing it got up to 114 degrees...thankfully its the slow part of the day where I work in air conditioning.

After doing some research I finally decided to bite the bullet and commit to buying a Provari...almost no sense in having the best juice in the world with substandard hardware!

I've heard good things about the Empire drip shield mod, and was just wondering if anyone here has experimented with this on a Provari. Also looking for a good tank mod, but thats another day of researching that I can save til later!

I never tried the drip shield with the pro-vari and here's why: I have two pro-vari's, (one original, one black) and neither of them seems to like the 510-901 adapters. Not entirely sure why since even my ego batts could use a 901 with the adapter. But for some reason the atty doesn't register with my pro-vari's, so they simply don't fire. I've never asked anyone else about this, so to be totally honest I don't know if its a Pro-vari thing, or an operator error thing, maybe they were just bad adapters, coulda been any number of things. All I know is that my attempt to 901ify my pro-vari was a total fail.

If you kept that poor 901 in the same box as a 306, it likely got a beating and warned not to heat it's pathetic coil or else.

mwahahahaha

tis possible, since the 306 has been king in my house for quite some time. It is possible though that the hybrid atty will replace 306s if they hold up well over time.

@phorbin - still an A+ for the hybrid attys? they're sold out right now, but I'm still thinking of giving them a shot. I have a Reo Mini and I've read of a few people popping theirs quickly, or damaging the Reo. Not sure if it's a bad batch, or just misuse, but I still want to give them a shot when they're back in stock.

You have to kinda know what you're doing, thoroughly examine the center post, gasket, etc and make sure everything is ok before you use it - I suspect the people shorting mods with hybrids are the same people who short them with adapters and even cartos. User error gets my vote!

I'll post some impressions when mine arrive from CoV.

Good Morning bander, Whiskey, Chorn and Crew..........Happy Thursday. I've been mentally creating my next order for over a week. I can't decide whether to order 30ml bottles or pay the extra for 2 15ml bottles. I like the convenience of the smaller bottles.

G'morning! I keep some empty bottles around for dripping... I hate carrying a 30ml : (

Thanks, whiskey....i've definitely got to stock up on them since all I buy is 30ml bottles, and the thought of carrying around my whole supply of (fill in the blank w/ current fave juice) around Reliant Stadium is ungood. I'm already worried that some idiot won't let me in with an eGo, spare battery, and juice. And top it off-opening day is 10 year anniversary of 9/11. Security will be over the top.
