It works for a while then slows right down , then nothing...just did it again...LOL
Rar...you on Charter???

Which ISP do you use, and are they treating it as an service outage? If not, get on the horn and ask for either Tier 3 or Engineering. That'll light a fire under their .....

Also, if it is an ongoing thing, ask for your bill to be pro-rated due to it being a provider issue.

ISP = Your service provider (like Charter, Comcast, ATT, etc...)

LOL...Too Funny Ghost!!! We have Charter LOL, Irene was gone then this just started happening, Ghost

Yeah Rar, It boggs down then freezes...started yesterday...been hell on the phone

Ugh. I hate Charter. Them coming out saturday sounds about right for those dingleberries. They've probably got an issue at the optical node or lost some RF amplifiers.

The node services a few hundred homes, and they use amplifiers to boost the signal along the cable, since the signal diminishes the greater the distance is from the node.

Sorry. Nerded out there for a sec.

We had Charter and they tried to pull a fast one on us. One more reason to give us to to change..so we did. We got DirectTv and use At&t for our ISP. Never been happier. Charter sucks. Feel free to join in me in leaving them...DirectTv and At&t have been great!

We purchased a "Charter Bundle" when we moved. Wasn't the price they quoted...kept billing "one time charges", so we got rid of the Charter Tv and have Dish. Still have the phone and the internet, though.

Haha I know, its just a comedic take on what my life outside of work consisted of after I got a job doing tech support. I had a cousin (who lived on the oppsite side of the country, and who I had not spoken to in several years) message my parents on Facebook so he could get in touch with me. After about 10 seconds of "Oh hey long time no see, how you been?" he jumped into the REAL reason he tracked me down cross-country: to reformat his hard-drive...*violent facepalm*

Most of my friends worked tech support as well so if they didn't know how to do it I could always pull the "Why u bad at ur job?" card...but not with family!

Edit: and I really hate anything that requires new parts/hardware/software...cause my family has a terrific ability to make anything break somehow due to not knowing how to use it as intended.
