It all depends on the flavor but generally about a month to allow it to mature and see what happens with it over some time with color change, taste, TH and making sure it is good.

I should have thought of this sooner since it would be a seasonal thing. I was just thinking about how many people (at least here) love Tom and Jerry's and was thinking that might be a good Christmas juice for you to offer. Not that you would have had to. Was just a thought on my part. Which usually leads to trouble so maybe it is good I didn't think of it in time.

Good Song Richie. How goes it on Lawn Guyland?

It's a day off from the normal grind, Don. LOL

Btw, I haven't found Split Coconut to be a lingerer... not like a cinnamon based liquid, anyway. Besides, a little Split Coconut that hangs around with a Malty flush is awesomeness. =)

Hi Don, my order should be here tomorrow (Monday).

I may have to change my vote on steeping. I used my first bottle of Vanilla Bean, as soon as I got it. It was good, but not great. I let my second one sit around for a few weeks and just started using it a couple of days ago and there is a big difference. It's much richer in flavor and reminds my old tastebuds of vanilla ice cream. Excellent !!! :)

This recipe kind of gives you an idea of what is in it. Some people also add some Baileys Irish Cream. Most people around here buy the premade batter and add the alcohol. Not many use whiskey. (sorry whiskey =) ) Batter is made at a bakery. When I owned my liquor store, I couldn't keep the stuff in stock.

6 eggs, separated and room temperature
2 1/4 cups superfine sugar, divided*
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup powdered milk
Boiling water
Rum, brandy, or whiskey (your choice)
Nutmeg

I am a avid believer in the steeping of them. There are just so many flavors ive made and I wont add any flavoring to them for days after the initial dose cause they change so much. Once I have the taste down I like them to sit for a few weeks to see what they will be like then so its about a month process. Some flavors more than others and some very little. Im glad your order will get there tomorrow though and im sure it will be good. Have to let me know on the one what you think though

If you actually wanted to try some I could send you some. I actually don't care for them but others love the stuff. Then again, maybe it is just a WI thing.
