I am with you on that one Phorbin...its really weird what the extremes are becoming in the weather department!!!

my boss and i were just talking about that yesterday. About how the term "global warming" sorta misses the mark. Its not so much the warming, but the fact that the temp extremes are becoming, well, more extreme. I believe each of the last 3 winters in this area were "among the coldest on record" and we are following it up with record setting heat in the summers. Its kinda crazy.

I'm not sure just how big a factor we really are though. Don't get me wrong, obviously our pollution of the planet is downright sinful. But weather is cyclical, and in the grand geological time frame, we're about due for another ice age (about every 20,000 years or so). By coincidence, we're also about due for the Yellowstone Volcano to blow again (about every 600,000 years). I wonder if the explosion will lead directly to the next ice age?

Of course, if the Mayans are right in their beliefs, it won't matter much.

I heard a great explanation for "global warming"recently. The cause of global warming is this big fiery ball in the sky. It's called The Sun.

Seriously, though- I tend to think the shifts in the earth's crust surely have more to do with the extreme weather changes than anything us puny little humans can do.

Good Morning Folks.......I'm SO GLAD we decided to get a room air conditioner for our Texas guests this last weekend. Generally, here in the Adirondacks, we have only a few days hot enough to warrant the purchase of an air conditioner. But since they are used to it, we purchased one. Couldn't be happier. Now if I can just stay out of the one air conditioned room
