Good Morning Folks...I sure am glad it's cooler out.
I was walking from my car to a store the other day when the air was stifling. I saw a VERY pregnant lady with a toddler in a stroller and maybe a 3 year old walking beside her. I felt SO BAD for her. I couldn't imagine how she could possibly be coping with the heat combined with the pregnancy and all the little kids.
hey Crew, happy Sunday. I noticed a few people wondering about the hybrid atty so i'll lay down my first impressions. I received my V-mod from Vapage yesterday and he was kind enough to toss in two of the hybrids for me. I got one in 1.5 ohm, now resting comfortably atop my Ali'i and also a 2.0ohm which is on the Vmod.
A couple things to know about the Hybrids right up front. The first time you use them you need to be patient. The mesh inside the atty acts a bit like a reservoir of sorts and they will hold around 8-10 drops of juice to start. The mesh and liquid combine to create a bit of surface tension so the liquid, when first filled, will take a bit of time to settle into the atty. I put in 10 drops and then let the atty sit for about 15 minutes. I then put in 2 more drops to top it off. The bottom feed versions of the hybrid atty seem to have larger airflow holes so a very light draw is all you need to make some serious vapor with these little gems. In fact if you use your normal draw on the hybrid, you will probably either choke from overvape, or maybe even pull a little juice up with your draw. So remember, a little bit goes a long way when talking about strength of draw. I have been very impressed with the vapor production and flavor on these attys so far. Clouds of Vapor is selling "The Hybrid Atomizer" which was actually produced by Vapage....Avidvaper.com is selling a version called the HH357. From what I can tell these are more or less the same design, but the CoV version sells for 8.99 while the avidvaper version sells for the seemingly overinflated price of $21.99. While I've always been a big fan of Cisco's atomizers, 21.99 is, quite frankly, completely absurd. There is something of a controversy surrounding the hybrids, and who gets credit for making the first one. Personally, I don't care who made the first one, I care who makes one that is a reasonable balance of performance and price. And $21.99 for an atty is so terribly out of line that I won't even be buying one for review purposes. It could be the new gold standard for attys and I still won't pay that outrageous price. So Cisco, if you're reading this, please send me one for free for review, or drop the price to something that actually lines up with the rest of the industry please! thank you,

I don't get it either Don. The internals of the two seem pretty similar, so i'm not sure how there can be such a huge spread on the prices. Cisco spec attys are very good no doubt, but it can't be that much better that it justifies such a huge price.
Almost triple the price and only a slight variation. Almost reminds me of how gas prices go up before a driving holiday and there only one word for that, actually it 2, price gouging
i really hate to knock it, i love the Cisco 306s, they are pretty brilliant and all, but $21.99 really DOES seem like gouging Don. I have to agree.
In all honesty I don't ever remember a atty costing that much, something is very wrong with that picture
niether do i. i was stunned when i saw the price on his site. I mean stunned! Did a double take, shook my head a few times, looked again. And it still said 21.99. Went to bed, woke up the next day, still said 21.99. And he sold out his first batch of them in just a couple hours too!
I guess people will Pay top dollar for something new. Maybe I shoul triple the price on new juice releases lol. NOT

I got the ones from CoV, though I'm also a fan of Cisco's 306. I would never pay $22 for an atty - unless it was some new tech that is known to last a loooong time lol
