I was hanging with a few friends (one of which picked up e-cigs a month or so back), had him try a few juices and then had another friend (who smokes a pack a day) try some. The debate that ensued was hilarious proof of this "TBS: Taste Bud Syndrome".

When someone thinks something tastes like chocolate, and the other person thinks it tastes like pickles, you realize how bizarre taste buds are!
