Good morning everyone. So I revisited my Casa last night after it has had a chance to sit for a couple of days and I noticed the taste has already changed. Now I am getting a very spicy, almost peppery taste. Can someone tell me if this mellows out after more steeping? I know this should steep for a while, but I was just curious to see how the juice is evolving, so I just gave it a few hits and then put it back in my cabinet.

Good Morning Whiskey, Deb, LVP, River and Crew. Have a great day.

@ LVP: I don't get a peppery or spicy taste with my casa. More of a blended cocoa and tobacco taste. Out of the mailbox, the cocoa seems stronger. After it steeps, you can still taste it, but it doesn't seem (to me) to be a dominant taste. I love it with or without steeping. I don't even wait to steep it. I start vaping right away.

Any time I get a peppery taste I immediately drink a bunch of ice water to clean my mouth a bit. I go thru this daily in my job (teacher) when I have 4 classes in a row. My mouth gets kind of gross with all the talking and every flavor i've tried elicits the same response when I hit it after that 4 hour stretch. I chug some ice water, then chug some more, and i'm usually fine after that.

Deepens how, Whiskey? Do you find the cocoa becomes more pronounced? I am not a fan of the peppery flavor so I'm hoping it becomes less obvious with steeping.
Some people get that slight peppery taste, while others taste more of the coco...Again proof everyones taste is different:)
steeping to me on the casa deepens the flavor on this one for me anyways..which is delightful:):)

Well if the peppery flavor still seems pretty strong after a couple of weeks, I may add some of the Malty I have left to smooth it over a bit. Or maybe, just maaaaaaybe I can swap it for something more elusive... :D
Deepens- meaning intensifies in flavor....LOL
