I don't know if there are any other Marines, or former Marines here, but in the event that there are, or even if you know any that aren't, MSNBC will air tonight, for the first time on TV, the Documentary Semper Fi Always Faithful. It starts at 22:00 hours EST.

It has to do with the issue of contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, between 1958 and 1988.

Thanks, xpat. I'll try to remember to watch it. I was stationed there in '68 right after boot camp for schooling. First I've heard of this.

It's worth a look for you then. My husband was there in 1969, also after boot on Parris Island, and then 1970/1971. He says Semper Fi.

If you miss it, I think you can find it on Netflix as well, and in the Itunes store. We are going to dvr it. It's a pretty nasty kettle of fish.

It's on the West Coast at 7pm. I just set a reminder for it.

Semper Fi back at hubby. After Camp LeJuene I went to Barstow and then Treasure Island until I was discharged in '71. I worked in the Disbursing Office.

After Lejeune, he went to Okinawa. RR&C Co, 7th Comm Bn, 3rd Mar Div. He was discharged in 1972. In 1974 he joined the Army, and went to Germany with the 97th Sig Btn, and then he was assigned to the 82nd Airborne. Discharged from that in 1979.

He says to tell you that you really ought to go sign up with the USMC Camp Lejeune Water Registry. They will put you on the list, and send out some info. The hope is, one day it will be a presumptive, such as AO is.

I have the address for that if you would like it.

Ok. I am having an off day..lol. The MIL is unwell, so I set off today to run my errands plus hers, in a bit of a rush. I took my bottle of Berry Bliss. After Lowe's and before the supermarket, I topped off. Tasted very odd. Just tried it again, and it is odd. Dumped out my handbag to see what was going on.

I suppose that the fact that I snatched up the bottle of Maple instead, and added that to the carto might have a little something to do with it. Sheesh. No wonder it tasted odd. But...still good somehow :p
