Dant my first show was a free concert in GG Park. I think I've seen 160 shows though I could be off by 10 - 15 That includes some Bobby and a bunch of JGB. And now 3 Furthur.

We saw Furthur 4 months ago at Red Rocks and is the most amazing venue I've every been to.

The free concerts in GG Park were in 67-69, right? Damn, so that means you were probably at some of those shows from '73 I've listened to; those amazing, transcendent '73 shows. Were you at Tampa 12-18-73, or Washington 06-10-73? (Two of my favorites) And if so, how long did it take to regain your ability to speak?

LOL No that was Jerry and Friends in 75. They were just coming back after their hiatus and the Kantner Slick band (post airplane, pre starship) opened. Then the 76-78 run in Winterland which probably my favorits time.

I'll have to check those shows out

One of my favs was in 78 (I think) fall show in SF. The just got back from Egypt and Lee Oscar from War joined them with his haunting harmonia. Good Stuff

Ah, 76-78 were very good years, many good shows in there for sure. Lots of folks say 5-8-77 Barton Hall is their all-time favorite.

If you do check out those '73 shows, you must hear...Weather Report > Dark Star > Drums > Eyes > Wharf Rat > Sugar Magnolia...near the end of Tampa 12-18-73. Given a "desert island" scenario, and forced to choose only one CD worth of Dead, that would be my pick.

I love that site, so many shows yet to discover. I stream them and then go into my browser cache, copy and save them for burning onto CDs. I'm like a kid in a candy store.
