Since i've been using a USB connection instead of a Battery i hav'nt had a Self Clean. I consider the Atomiser f****d once it's been through a Self Destruct. Sometimes the taste has gone to the battery as well so i've had to throw them away.
There should be a BIG warning on these things as it can happen to a Brand New Atomiser as it's the "special microprocessor" in the Battery that sets it off after ?????? puffs.
You have to be aware that an atomiser has an average good life of about 3 weeks.
buy lots and welcome to the wonderfull world of e-cigs. ;)

All of the parts are disposables. 8-o

How would that be possible? The battery only supplies power to the atomizer, NOT flavor.

You also draw air through the battery and juice and gunk can get into it. A lot of batteries get faulty when juice has stuck onto the switch inside which stops it from working correctly. The taste and smell from a self clean is so strong that if any of the juice or gunk gets into the battery while it's happening it stays there so when you draw air through it again into a new atomiser you will still get the taste and smell.
Maddog has a dissection video somewhere that shows the a battery switch which has stuck because of liquid getting into it.

1. Cartridge is low and you are smoking the filling

2. Atomizer just did a self cleaning at which point it will take abotu 40-50 puffs to go away

-No. Ceramic isolator. Liquid feed should not warm up that much.

-Could be poisonous to inhale burnout dirt, besser clean in alcohol bath before next usage.

My M401 seems to enjoy going into that cleaning mode when first hooking up to a freshly charged battery.

So now I will put a useless toasted atomizer on my newly charged battery take a couple puffs and then replace with the good atomizer.

Sense I have started doing this, I have not had the displeasure of experiencing that annoying burnt cat p!ss flavor.

Ahhhh... I see. Still kinda new to all this. Thanks for the info.

The first self-clean cycle on an atomizer is by far the worst. Had it happen once by accident, and man it's really horrible tasting for sure.

IMO... best to just chuck the cartridge away and wash out the atomizer with soap/water, really well.

One can only hope they remove this feature in their new battery batches. Very ill-conceived.

No. Use steamcleaner machine with low pressure setting or alcohol. Particles from undistilled water and soap will fill up the metal swam of the liquid feed and break the liquid feed flow after time.
Same for boiling and boiling could damage internal cables if any or other temp sensitive parts of the atomizer.
