i got some rich high and med on monday and i dont know if it is bad or not. i had never used vg juice before. so here is the skinny, it tastes like ry4 but the after taste has a unfiltered water taste! is this norm. i ordered from innovapor on 8/7, i have no idea if they had it fixed buy then so any info would be nice.

The aftertaste is normal. If it tastes like a warmer version of RY4 and has a "thin note" aftertaste, it's fine.

It's only when you can smell the icky chemicals right out of the bottle that it's bad. Believe me, you can't possible miss it. It reeks.

I received my first Ecopure liquid order Direct from Intellicig here in the UK a couple of days ago. I ordered 20ml Krystal 36g and 20ml ECOmix.
The ECOmix smelled very strongly of what i can only describe as Disinfectant. On making a small 50/50 mix just 2ml of each to try it i discovered it also tastes like disinfectant. Impossible to vape.Sickening.
I then tried the Krystal by itself (using a different Atty as the one with the disinfectant taste and smell is ruined) and it was fine by itself. Clear and very little taste.
I would advise anyone getting ANY Ecopure Liquid to smell the Liquid first before using. There may have been a bad Batch but if so it's still out there. I ordered and received this just this week. BEWARE.
If i had mixed the 20ml of each straight away i would have had to throw the whole lot away. I have been vaping for over a year and know when something is wrong and i do know what VG tastes and smells like, And it's not Dettol

I just got a shipment of Krystal and ECOmix directly from Intellicig (six days from UK to USA - not bad at all - and it was declared as "flavored aerosol" for the customs... cute, especially seeing how this stuff is not at all flavored...). Both didn't smell at all. I mean, nothing, nada.

I guess you got more of the bad batch.

I received my very first time Ecopure rich and this stuff smells like a chlorine. It has a chlorine aftertaste too. I am hoping that this is not the same great stuff you all seem to brag about. I think they used Chlorine water in the solution or something. I ordered it form the UK site. There is a small kinda taste of RY4. This juice reminds me of the Water Treatrment plant where I work smells. The smell is chlorine. I am at home today so its not the Water Treatment Plant I am smelling now.

I think I made up my mind. I'll be returning 11 (eleven) 15ml bottles of Rich/Max to IV. I think I'm done & it's a shame. I got some Rich with my original 510 kit back in June & none of the juice since has tasted the same. No sweet roasted marshmellow-cotton candy-like flavor.
Jesteen has made the mention over in the IV forum that its probably just the higher nic content & at first I thought, yeah, maybe she's right. But the more I think about it I'm not buying it. I've got LOADS of unflavored 36mg & none of it tastes horrible like Ecopure Rich lately.
This will be my 2nd return to IV. Five of these 11 bottles were replacements for Rich/VH that was confirmed to be unflavored by IV after they recieved them even though they were labeled Rich/VH on the bottles.

Someone along the lines has some serious QC issues that need resolved asap. I've also emailed Intellicig about this issue asking them to confirm if they've had a bad batch...We'll see.

I am afraid to say that there was a spell when many posters were having a problem with JC; I remember comments like the juice had a greenish color and other complaints. Luckily my stored JC juice taste ok but has lost power over time.

Some blame the problem on the plastic containers.

Anyone have the perfumy problem with glass containers?

I am not a fan of plastic bottles. I want to get glass for all my juice. I brew my own beer and a rule of thumb is NEVER use plastic, you will taste it. I'm sure the same rule goes with nic juice.

I'm quickly becoming a hater of plastic bottles but they sure are convenient.
I wonder if those of us that are reporting bad juice are seeing the effects of off gassing in the plastic bottles...
The more I think about the flavor of the questionable juice I've got, the more I think it tastes like melted plastic.

Rob

Mine taste like a mix of burning plastic and spent black powder. It reminds me of the 4th of July, in a bad way.

I am beginning to believe it is the plastic bottles used. My first 75ml were fine a couple of months ago. This last order I got was terrible and smelled along with bad vapor taste and bad aftertaste. It had a plastic like taste. Ordered from Vicki and Terri and it was great. It was also packaged in the clear needle tip bottles, not the white bottles I got from everyone knows who. There are photos comparing the two somewhere else on this forum. BTW, it has only been with Rich high that I know of, my fav.

John from Intellecig has asked me to post this pm for everyone to see

"Hi, because the thread is in the review section I am not allowed to post a reply there, which is frustrating as I want to let everyone know that we really are on the case of the 'bad taste'. We have spent so much time and money developing ECOpure and we are totally committed to getting it right every time. We use a highly experienced chemist at a well established company who specialise in blending liquids, so this is not a 'throw it in a pot & pray' operation. If you would be so kind to copy this whole message and post it on the relevant sub-forum I would be most grateful.
Would anyone who has any ECOpure that they are not satisfied with please email john@intellicig.com with as much information as possible, including the batch numbers and a description of the contents, colour, smell, taste etc. We are not happy that some liquid does not seem right, even if it is a very small amount, and will do whatever is necessary to remedy the situation.
Best wishes.
John Chamley.

This is a very interesting thread, since I've been wanting to try ECOpure for a long time and my order from InnoVapor for two 510 kits plus accessories has been held up for almost two weeks now, just because they don't have the ECOpure for the starter kits. No wonder they're waiting on more ECOpure from Intellicig if Intellicig is trying to track down a quality control problem.

As for the plastic bottles thing, I'm actually sort of taken aback that any eliquid is shipped in plastic. I'm relatively new to this whole thing (six weeks), and my only experience is with Johnson Creek, but every liquid I've bought from them has come in brown glass bottles with separate dropper caps and separate little 3 ml (I think) plastic dropper bottles. Plastic seems fine for carrying around a few ml for topping off, but long-term storage in plastic sounds like an obvious no-no.

(My main reason for wanting to try ECOpure is that too much PG messes me up, and JC's reduced-PG blends help, but they don't have a new VG-only formula yet.)

I've always hated glass bottles for daily carry because of the breakage risk but your comment about storing in glass & using 3-6ml plastic for daily use is a great idea. So simple & obvious yet I didn't think of it.
Looks like I'll be heading to usplastics web site & see what they've got. I know they carry glass bottles.
Thanks hxj.

I went poking around there and didn't see much in the way of dropper bottles. These here include the type that Johnson Creek liquids come in, and they have 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, and 4 oz sizes. (1 ounce is roughly 15 ml.) They also sell larger 8 oz, 16 oz, and 32 oz bottles without droppers. Personally I'd get brown glass (or blue! pretty!) because I don't know if light affects e-liquid. Mine's kept in a dark cupboard anyway, so for me it's sort of moot.

Wow, these bottles are pretty cheap! I might have to get some just for mixing! 2 oz. brown dropper bottles are less than a buck, cobalt blue are $1.02. Shipping seems to be $4.95 USPS for small orders.

My Batch number was 090813 on both bottles. I don't really think it has anything to do with it, though, but I hope they sort it out, horrible waste of good Nicotine, that! But also, folks seem willing to accept that it is just one batch...careful here...if there's a chance the stuff is being fouled by packaging, it will keep happening until no one will buy anymore. I would be turning labs inside out to understand why my product fouled, and be honest about it. Reactions do occur between packaging and product all the time, especially in the non-glass category, that is something that needs to be sorted out before someone gets very hurt, before the product is sent out!!
They bottle hydrochloric & muratic acid in plastic bottles, too, doesn't mean it's going to stay safe forever. I could show you a dandy mark on a shelf where it didn't stay safe. I'm just glad it was there by itself, what if a bottle of bleach had been along side it. Look at an old can of lye. Be especially aware of re-cycled plastic containers. Look at batteries!! Nothing should be taken for granted, especially if you're breathing it! Liquid Express puts theirs in blue glass, love that, but they only had 26mgVG last time I looked. More expensive to use. Although, if anyone bought ECO 500ml that's a lot of money also! I'll give them a chance, but not two. I know they're working through it heart and soul, but when people put their trust in a company they had better be touching all possibilities, not just quashing rumors! That sounds kinda familiar nowdays, we get that from our own government. Not willing to just swallow that either.

The post from markarich159 bears re-reading!! Thanks mark
