Same sheet happened to me a week ago. Ordered 10x3ml of rich and regular, 1 menthol, different strengths to try.

Have only used a carts-worth Rich "30mg"(which I doubt is an accurate nicotine level if the labeling is any indication). The smell seemed odd, but not "bad". I vaped a little bit, familiar odd taste, couldn't figure it out. Than it hit me, it tastes like how some electronics smell...don't know what that means, besides there being something wrong with this sh....

F this. I ordered this crap because of their "pure, fresh" blah blah blah claims. Never tried a VG liquid before either...

I have left liquid in my truck all day for days in the hot summer sun, and noticed no taste differences. The 3ml bottles they use look the same as the ones I bought from USplastics...but may not be the same...

I haven't tried the others I got. ALL the other rich's I have smell the same. The regular doesn't seem as strong a smell, but I am not vaping anymore of this...

I will contact innovapor now knowing I was not the only one...

Now I only order unflavored juice for long term storage and for mixing my own.

Yeah, I'm about to start doing that. I just ordered some Krystal liquid and mix-in liquid from Intellicig, and some DIY supplies. It's probably going to take some time arriving, coming from the UK and all. I'm going to make myself some double-flavored chocolate - couldn't find that in ready-made VG, and I love chocolate! :)

Innovapor says they are going to carry Krystal eventually. It should work well.

As for this Chinese liquid fear-mongering...ugh

How come the only quality problems I have read about seem to be from non-chinese sources? JC with the green liquid and now ecopure...

This thread ain't about personal taste likes/dislikes...nor is it about theories/opinions...

How many people have received this funky juice? and, Why is it funky?

I just wanted to chime in here....actually glad i found this post, because i thought my 510 was broke. i got a shipment directly from Intellicig the other day, bought an assortment of products. was really happy with the speed of delivery, etc...but when i got to the "rich" flavored juice, i started getting this horrible metallic taste. I cleaned my atomizers...did everything I could. now i'm realizing it was the juice itself!!

Just wanted to let you all know this. While I've also had slow times from IV, this came directly from the UK, and had that same burnt/crap taste.

the menthol and fresh is awesome though, i must say. probably going to stick with fresh from now on, with some added krystal (which i havent tried yet)

Actually, there have been complaints about Chinese juice in several threads. It seems that *all* manufacturers have this problem occasionally. And it's always the same symptoms: "perfumy, mediciny" taste is how it's usually described.

So it is the problem that either stems from common ingredients or combination of ingredients, possibly combined with packaging/shipping...

The only manufacturer who hasn't had these problems apparently is Vermont Vapor (American, VG-based).

As for paranoia about Chinese quality control... Well, some people feel that way and some don't. There are reasons on each side, and it's a personal choice.
:)

That's the question, isn't it?

Yeah, I just wanted to emphasize that IV has nothing to do with it. The don't make the stuff, they buy it from Intellicig. And they were very accomodating with me when I wrote to them about the problem.

In my limited experience, their shipping is comparatively slow, but that's the only problem I've had with them. And their email response was very prompt - within the hour, in fact.

I really like the rich. Hope the next batch is good. And all their stuff makes really good vapor.

Briar,

Here's a site I found (in the UK) that has lots of exciting VG flavors. I probably shouldn't be pimping them when my order hasn't arrived yet, but here, have a look:

Decadent Vapours for Discerning Vapers

OMG - I just looked at these, and they look sooo interesting! <jumping up and down with excitement> Thanks so much, I'll be ordering some of that as soon as I get paid. Thanks! :D I just hope they wick good...

Got two shipments in today - some samples from Vermont Vapor, and a bottle of Mocha from eliquidplanet.

VV stuff was fine. Good liquid, nice mild flavor, no problems except for Maple wicking badly.

The Mocha from ELP though was absolutely vile. It smelled, *again*, mediciney, like a bad chemical trying to imitate burnt coffee. It tasted even worse in the vape. It took me some considerable effort to get it out of my atty. Absolute yuck. I am sure it wasn't meant to smell like that - so it's the same problem as before. I'm not going to bother sending it back, but, man, I sure was dissapointed. I love mocha flavor and was really looking forward to it... :(

Wish I knew what was going on...

Another bad batch of Rich High ECOpure. Just got 5 bottles of 15ml and opened one. Vaped and got this horrible taste, hard to explain, maybe plastic like. Used steam-cleaned attys and even used a new atty with no difference. Will contact IV and get a replacement. I love what I got before from them, and am hooked on the rich. Hate to complain, but this taste terrible and leaves a slight after taste.

But that doesn't explain the apparent occasional problem with ecopure - they have nothing to do with DeKang...

I wonder - has anyone ever had that problem with JC?

This is all rather perplexing.

Briar.
I have not heard of anyone having that prob with JC.. just the old prob with green juice which seems to be gone the past few months.

I had the mocha too... was good the first few weeks.. now.. not so much.

As someone mentioned... this seems to only happen with plastic bottles. I think that the heat/plastic/oxidation of NON PG juice seems to cause a bad reaction.. as stated though... only speculation. I have used VG only since Feb. It does seem that you are taking a chance when buying Dekang juices in VG. I thought it was the way they were mixing it.. but it seems to happen "after a time" of having it open too so who knows.

Lazarus,
Your message about a North Florida vendor for juice caught my eye. I live in Jacksonville and could use a connection.

Just got my first device, have no idea what it would be called looks like an analog from ecighawaii, and interested in trying different flavors.

Innovapor is not known for lightning-fast shipping...

Well i got some rich hi ecopure from iv and it did not wick at all from the cart and so i had to drip it. The taste wasn't that good, but it's the aftertaste that is really gross. It's probably just vg in general that gives that sweet oily taste/smell.

I don't know if it was a bad batch or not. But sure won't be buying any more ecopure after the severe GI problems it caused.

I've not read through this entire thread, but several posts back emus said: "Some generous person could put a sample of good juice in the attic for a few days to see if heat is a problem."

In a sense, I am that "generous person"* - having kept my e-liquid outside on the patio for the past 2 months during the South Florida summer. I've noticed *no* degeneration in e-liquid quality, taste, or discolorization. I'll let you know if, down the road, I get cancer or hives or something.;)

* It wasn't generosity, but marital necessity. My wife is alergic to the smells of these juices.

Note: I am not recommending this means of storage. For me, it was a matter of necessity (and marital bliss).

Don--I hear you--I keep some outside by the pool. It is left there in the blazing heat here in Florida and it is as good as when I first got it. The only time I ever lost e-liquid was in the refidgerator--LOL Go figure.

I think you might be tasting the VG, yes. I pretty much taste that "oiliness" too. And it sort of coats my mouth a bit. I was pretty happy when I found out I wasn't reacting to PG. I still like ecopure, and it wicks fine for me, but I think I prefer to mix PG with VG to avoid the oily residue.

And, it also leaves a residue on my windows, if I vape alot.

Sheesh. Sometimes I wish I could vape just water with nic and flavorings!

Cheers,
Briar.
