I've bought the 510 Boge LR 2.0 15 carto deal three times now. I've gone through one box so far from my last order and 3 out of the 5 cartos in the box were burnt. I'd fill one up & take a hit but it would make no crackle sound, just a dry pull and NASTY burnt taste. Throw it away, load up another, same freaking thing.

This isn't rare either. My previous two orders, out of 30 cartos I've probably had 8-9 burnt, which is ridiculous. I'll be switching to a new vendor and new carto, the cheap price isn't worth it if half the cartos go straight to the garbage.

Someone made a comment about the Boges also presenting a problem. Well, guess what. I've been running a Boge 2.2 Ohm in my WYD Tank for well over a week. Yesterday it finally petered out, and I grabbed another Boge, from the same box.

YUCK! No pop, and the nasty burnt taste. Okay, on to another Boge. Same thing. Went through the rest of the Boges in that box (4 total) all with the same problem.

Grabbed a 1.7 Ohm Resurrector, and same problem. Now I'm beginning to think it's something in the Tank? I don't see how, as I prime the Cartomizers and there is next to no feed from the Tank on the initial use.

Grabbed a 1.5 Ohm, Dual Coil, three punched hole Cartomizer with the flange from the drawer and Bingo. Perfect. The holes are very small, and with 50/50 juice there is no flooding. I immediately found who I had ordered them from and ordered a bunch more. Hopefully their product has not changed.

I boiled the bad Cartomizers, and they are drying for the next several days. When I do need to replace a Cartomizer in one of the 5 Tanks that I have, I'll try the one that I boiled, but I have little hope that they will be useable.

OBTW, I ohmed the 1.7 Resurrector, and it was right on 1.7. Put it on the Provari when I tried it, and got an E1 error. Checked it with the Provari, and it would read 1.7 and then almost immediately go to 0.8.

Ah, the trials and tribulations of a Vaper. LOL

I'm sure you did but wanted to ask/make sure anyway. You did/are letting them sit for a while before trying them right? I push Boge as if I had stock in the company, But I'm not going to say they are all perfect. I have had several bum/burnt (non snap-crakle-pop) Boge cartos. I truly dont know how these are put together. I.e. Machine or hand rolled coil ect. I presume if it were a machine these "fluctuations" in performance would be greatly reduced? I hope your luck turns around though. I myself, have had a terrible vaping day:( Nothing seems to taste good so I know its just me

I've had fresh cartomizers with the burnt taste... probably because I'm impatient and didn't give the carto enough time to soak up liquid. Being impatient, I found a way around the problem (that works for me at least)... I put the carto in the tank, fill the tank, pop the top cap of the tank on, then take the cap off and put it on again two more times. Pushing the tank cap down seems to create pressure and force liquid into the little carto hole.

Keekers...... I understand and no umbrage taken. I hope I have not made any comments that have jeopardized this thread and if I have, my apologies. I almost didn't comment at all on this thread, but since I do / did use the 1.7's, I really wanted to participate. I've tried to be careful how I have worded my posts. Please let me know if you see something I should edit. I do now want to violate any of the forum rules.
I try to follow the Wings down here, but very few games.... and it's so weird to think about hockey down here with the heat. Can you imagine what it must cost to keep the ice in proper shape with the climate down here? Their utility bills must be amazing. Hockey is very popular down here and I see quite a few ice rinks in my travels.
Zeth.... I have no idea about the dual coil cartos. I'm only guessing but if they changed the polyfill on the 1.7's, I would think they would have made the change across the spectrum of their various cartos. Again, just guessing.
Aww don't worry! I was just verbalizing/re-posting classwife's comment so we could all be reminded of what she said. No one said or did anything, just a reminder :)
When I lived in CA I thought it was funny to go to a hockey game.

Every time I pre-fill the Boges they turn out great. I've had a couple that were duds but that's out of more than 45 cartos.

You did/are letting them sit for a while before trying them right?

I probably rushed the first Boge, but the subsequent ones, besides filling the Tank, I dripped into the sides of the Cartomizer until it would not absorb any more, and then waited and added some more. I thought for sure I would get a flood, but all I got was the Yuckies.

Thanks for the thoughts. That's what makes this forum great.

I'm learning to let the Boges sit for quite a while, even overnight, before using them. Perhaps it's a different type of polyfill, but is does not seem to absorb as quickly. If I let them sit, I rarely have duds. I also make sure when punching holes for use in a tank to make sure the hole is plenty big. Even with 3 holes, using a saddle tap punch, I try to get that hole as large as I can. With an XL or XXL (whatever they are called.... ) I drip a good 40 drops from a 18 ga syringes to prime them. I usually only use two holes.
I've always wondered if some of the Boges have the polyfill accidentally packed too tight and hence poorer absorption. Just a thought and don't know what you can do about it other than maybe punching holes in the polyfill with a very fine needle to aid in absorption. Just have to be careful of wires and coil or coils.

just my own opinion and observation.. I've finally started condom filling instead of using a syringe or dripping and I've had great success with the filler type cartos. After condom filling I can vape pretty much immediately and everything is great. when I used the resurrectors and got some that the resistance quickly went down, I never got a burnt or funny taste.

You could always find the difference in length between boge and smoktech cartos and cut that amount off of the tank. I haven't heard of boge cartos with holes for sale, so you'd have to punch your own.

Edit: I just remembered an easier option that I read about (but haven't tried). There are straight, cylindrical drip tips (that have the same outer diameter as the carto) that can be used as an extension to the boge.

hmm im worried now. cuz just few days ago i ordered SB and smoktech DCT and 5 of the DCT replacements...
and also i heard you can't use boge for smoktech DCT because its too short?
are there any other cartos that i can use with my smoktech tanks?
or do i just have to buy a different brand like J-Tank?

Okay, so I got a couple of the DCT cartos from a new batch of SmokTechs and have been using the 2.5ohm one in a SmokTech carto tank in my stacked Silver Bullet and so far it's been lasting just about 4 days now and it's still going as it should -- draw is starting to get tight, but with the kind of wattage the stacked SB puts out on a 2.5ohm DCT carto this thing would have been dead about two days ago, so this one appears to be good. Fingers crossed that the bad batches might be passing.

I switched from the Smoktech to the Boge XL to try out in my dual coil tank also. So far working great. The only adjustment has been that I didn't realize how much I relied on the flange on the Smoktech. I have dumped a couple of tanks doing dumb things like trying to take the drip tip off the tank with it off the device. The flange held the bottom and no problem. The Boge just slides the whole carto out and dumps the juice. I am learning to be a little more careful without the flange. I will probably try the 3.0 single coil Smoktech with the flange when I find them and do a comparison.

I use an old eGo battery with an eGo DCT adapter when I remove Cartos or fill. It prevents the Tank from sliding down off the Carto.

I also just cracked out some Smoktech 2.0 dual coils for another tank and it is also working good so far. No bad taste or any other problems. After reading this thread I am not sure if there was an intentional change in the filling or just a bad batch that got out. Suppliers and vendors saying no change but this many people can't have a problem without some type of change I would think.
