Has anyone ordered these from Hoosierecig? I was doing some juice testing and I had 3 new dual coil cartos (2xl and 1 regular length) so I figured I would try them out as well. Of the 2 I tried (1 xl - 2.0 ohm and 1 regular - 1.5 ohm) I was getting a strange taste. It was causing the juice to taste different. There was nothing specific like burning rubber, filling or anything. Just the strange taste almost like there was something else in the carto along with my juice that had almost no taste and just changed the juices a little. I tried HHV DD Watermelon (which btw tastes more like bubble gum than watermelon) in one of the smoktech dual coils and then I tried it in a boge single coil and only the smoktechs were causing the juice to taste weird.
Also, they would fire on my regular kGo but they would not fire on my kGo vv. I screwed the 1.5 into my provari to test the ohm rating and it showed 1.5 ohms. I didn't test the 2.0 ohm because it had a strand yellowish white substance hardened on the threads. (I should have thrown it away right when I notice that. I suspect that substance was the culprit).
I had taken 2 toots then let it sit for a couple minutes while I got a drink thinking maybe it's me. Then I took a toot from my regular all day juice that I'm familiar with and it was normal. So, I decided to try the other smoktech with a juice I had already tried using a Boge carto yesterday and after filling it via the condom method and clearing the airway I took a couple toots (2). still the weird taste even though it was a different carto (smoktech #1 w/ HHV watermelon was the 1.5 ohm regular length and smoktech #2 with RAWR strapple was the 2.0 ohm XL carto). I let it sit for a minute or two and tried it again. Still the strange tasting liquid. Again, no burning taste, no noticeable chemical taste, just a liquid that tasted strange even though I know it wasn't the liquid because it was fine on the Boge carto the day before and it is impossible it got contaminated. I tried it one last time and the taste was still strange and it made my stomach start to hurt and feel weird (like and bubbly feeling and no I didn't have to use the bathroom, lol) so I threw both of them in the trash.
I'm just curious if any of you have experienced something similar? Any ideas what could have caused this?
I don't think I'll be trying dual coils ever again because even my Vision dual Horizontal coil carto didn't taste right with my every day juice that I've been using since the Saturday before last (November 10th).
