I've been noticing their cartos have been crap for at least a couple of months now. It isn't that they taste bad, not right away anyway, .... hey barely last 2, maybe 3 days before the draw tightens and they die. I did have some earlier on that started having a nasty burnt taste after just an hour or two of vaping though (those were 1.7ohm singles). Whatever this new filler is, it sucks. They need to go back to the original stuff. At least I could get a good 5 days or more out of them. That's a dream right now.

Until they change back to the original filler, I'm not buying any more Smoktech cartos.

Amen-- I am encouraged to read its not just me although not happy its happening to any of us-- I wonder how many people have to complain before somebody makes this right.

I use the 1.5's. At first they were good cartos, but recently, I've been getting a lot of flooding, or they plainly just are bad. I've got one good one thus far in a week out of a box of 5. They used to last at least a week almost! Any alternatives to use with the DCT Tank?

XXL Boges, or you could do what I do which is cut, grind, knaw or whatever ya gotta do to get the tank size down to fit a standard size Boge.:)

Hopefully the vendors will take note of the problems and get with the mfg. and ask / have them make changes to the cartos in a positive manner. Unfortunately, we as individuals do not have the "bulk buying power" of vendors to get the mfg's. ear. We need the vendors we purchased these devices from to know that something needs to be done. Selling the cartos is a part of their livelihood and they need to go to bat for their customers. Lousy product = less sales --- it's as simple as that (in theory).
I used to love the 1.7's and stopped using all other cartos. Now I feel adrift again looking for alternatives. One thing I have been trying with a some success is using a much smaller hole when using them in tanks. The smaller hole for whatever reason has helped a little. At least I can get 4 or so ml through before the problems start.
I've mentioned before that I haven't encountered the lousy taste problem, but I need to clarify a little after reading one of the recent posts. I get a lousy taste after several hours and at that point I know the carto is toast. My main problem is the choking off of the air tube.
Hope I'm not coming across too strong about this, but I'm tired of spending money on bum products. I like to buy in bulk and I'm sitting on close to 50 of these bad cartos from multiple vendors with absolutely no recourse. Makes me feel ill......

I haven't noticed any bad taste, but the last few I used kept going up and up in resistance. They would start at the right ohms and then keep going up. I'm glad the xxl boges finally came out! I had quite a few leftover from my 3.7 days ans was trying to use them up, plus they were the only ones that would fit in the dctanks. I won't be buying any more resurrectors.

I don't buy in bulk for just this reason, I don't want to get stuck with a bunch of stuff that I don't want to use anymore. Plus who knows when something better might come out.

Thanks, Donnah..... that was the other thing I've been noticing -- the increasing ohms. Just like you, mine started out at the proper number, but very quickly, they headed into the 3+ ohm range. I can understand the ohms increasing over long term use, but when it occurs in a day or so, something is amiss. I've been using a very light juice @ 90/10 rather than my usual 70/30 with low % flavor and flavors that I know won't gunk things up just to see how they would behave, but it did not make a difference. It is very frustrating.
I bought in bulk because I trusted the vendors and the mfg. I've learned a good lesson. It is an irritating situation because I'd rather stock up on something I like than buy in little dibble dabs, but you words ring very true as why to not bulk buy. As I said earlier, I'm now casting about for something else to take their place.
What is the difference in length between the XXL and the XL Boges or are they one and the same? I can't seem to find any reliable information. Thanks so much........

I get a lousy taste after several hours and at that point I know the carto is toast. My main problem is the choking off of the air tube.

I took one of the funny tasting ones I had and took it apart. It apparently was tight draw contributing to burning the juice. The filler itself wasn't burnt, but it was full of black goo.

I'd write it off to me being a n00b, but I'm not having trouble with Boge, and those are are a single coil, so the coil actually gets hotter (single 2.0 vs. Doulbed 3.0).

I don't know whether it's the new filler or the fact that the amount of filler isn't anything resembling consistent

Its not because you are a noob the filler is changed in the 1.7 XL and I agree with whoever said the ohms are off. I've been testing 4 today and my juice tastes way off like I taste the filler in the background, strange draw all around yuck. Also can't get a one to accept the normal initial fill amount no matter what I do.

As a side note, I did a side by side comparison with these and the Res Juniors I bought last month and the Juniors are more in line with the standard sized Boge--proper ohm vapor production and better taste on the same juice-- MUCH better than the new XL's.

Gross! I vaped black goo!!!!!

I'm doubtful China is going to make changes again but who knows. I had a vendor reply to this thread a while back and quoted a conversation he had with another representative (against the rules) stating that there hasn't been anything changed. :glare:

Ccv has them listed as Boge Xl mega cartos. The ones on the site are 3ohm but hes trying to get 2ohm as well.

As much as I would love to agree with you in saying that the Vendors are not to blame, I just can not bring myself to do so. They know as well as we do that their product is crap right now. They are knowingly selling it to us. They are just as much to blame as the manufacturors are.

H.K. -- You very well could be right about the vendors. Guess I like to think that they are in our corner and trying to do something about it, but I have yet to see one say something about it and that does concern me. Makes a person leery to buy anything. It's a great example of the old plumber's saying about sewage flowing downhill....lol The whole situation stinks and I'm so very frustrated.
