Bad batch of something?

Hey guys,

I ordered my Nic, PG and VG from Nude.
Every batch I make has a peppery harsh throat hit, tastes off, and is also making me very short on breath. Doesn't matter which flavors either.

I'm mixing at 50/50 15mg nic, source is 50/50 50mg.

Everything else I have no problem with. I am using the same TPA flavoring as my local shop (which I also have no problem with) at same % flavoring.

So whats the deal?

I don't know what smoken22 is saying, but I use nude nic and to me it is not peppery (6mg nic)

I wonder if it could be your device or topper? hopefully others will chime in.

Does your local shop use a 50/50 blend as well? Have you tried your 50/50 mix with no flavor added? Normally peppery does come from the nic. Harsh could come from flavors or nic IMO

I find lowering the NIC level will reduce the harshness. Try 12mg

You can also vape just the VG/PG alone to rule that out but likely the NIC may be to harsh or the NIC level to high.

I wouldn't vape any more of this until you verify the nicotine ratio of the liquid you just bought is accurate. I'd just buy one of the kits available from various vendors.

Strange. I would say nudenicotine is the cleanest I have tasted. I just bought 100mg per ml nic from them in a 70/30 pg mix and it is awesome. better than from bullcity or wizard labs which were also very good I might add. But nude was just a little better for my quirky taste buds.

check and double check your measurements. try a 3mg per ml flavorless sample after verify pg/vg individually.

edit - new setup same old setup? Did you pick today to start dripping along with DIY?

The off-flavor is coming from the Nicotine base.

I am going to order some Wizard Labs Nicotine, is that flavorless?

Flavorless? All nicotine in high enough concentrations has a peppery quality to it. I preferred the vapers tek from bullcity over wizard labs. But both are good. I prefered the flavor from nude over both.

And if you just purchased from nudenicotine I would be talking to them about the nic.

edit- and I hope you aren't vaping 50mg nic straight, that can't possibly be a good career move

I've used nn, never had any taste peppery or musty....very smooth and flavorless, I vape at 3, my mixes for my mom were 18, she had no complaints of any weird flavors, she said it was very smooth too. Since you've tested your pg/vg/nic separately, and are sure it's the nic, I would get in touch with them, this sounds unusual for their product...good luck!

Only time I have ever had this issue was with a store bought juice. The store replaced it. All three I have tried have been good. Nude has simply been the best to my taste buds.

The last batch I got from nn was making my mixes harsh as well. Like Danny said mix lower than your intended level. I don't think it's a bad batch it's just more pure and accurate than other suppliers and they send a test sheet with it as well.
