Bad taste? Maybe metallic? (not talking about perfume/alcohol or burnt) This is what I did to get rid of it and it worked:

I've posted a few times about my struggle with a bad taste that was difficult to describe. It was somewhat metallic but really just YUCK. After a lot of time and $$$, this is what I did to get rid of it:
I originally started getting this taste with an older eVic vv/vw up to 5v and an Aspire ET tank with BVC coils. It started when I got new (but same) fruit flavors and the new tank. I was in need of a new mod so I got a Smart-20 vv/vw (20w) which is an iLeaf iStick clone and bought a new Aspire Nautilus mini tank. The taste was even worse with the new mod and the new Nautilus mini tank. After many BVC coils and another bottle of juice I was starting to go mad. I got a lot of good advice but it took a combination of all of it.
I took the tank apart and cleaned the entire thing with soap, top to bottom (but not the BVC coil!!). I used burning hot water and rinsed all the tank parts really good. I dried all the parts with a paper towel and blew some of the parts with my mouth to get all the water out (I wanted every piece bone dry because I knew i couldn't wait over night). I then rinsed a brand new Nautilus mini BVC under cold water (no soap!) and dried it with a paper towel and blew with my mouth to get all the water out. I let all the parts dry under a hot lamp and let it all sit for 30 minutes. I blew air in the parts again while reassembling the parts. I added ejuice (and added 5 drops of ejuice to the BVC coil) and proceeded to prime the coil by taking 10 puffs without firing the battery/mod. I then took 10 puffs while covering over the air hole and still not firing the battery/mod. I was told to do it until you get the bubbles out of the coil. I recommend doing it a lot if you can't wait to let it soak overnight. Then I turned my mod/battery down to the lowest setting of volts possible. I took a very brief puff just to let the coil be flooded with ejuice. You won't and don't want any smoke (as I understand it). Just a few 1 second puffs. I then took a little bit longer puff at the same setting and continued to increase the length of my puff until I had a decent cloud. Then, very slowly, maybe 3 watts at a time, I increased the wattage while taking normal puffs.
Finally the chains of nasty @$$ taste were removed from me. But I give all the credit to the folks who helped me on this forum as well as the YouTuber gentleman who walked me through it. Sometimes people like me need to be talked to like a 1st grader. Lol. But in my opinion I think what makes some people crazy is they try different things separately (one person says try this, another says well it could be your...) For me I think doing it ALL, step by step and slowly, is what helps. In other words; steep, buy decent ejuice and equipment, prime, wash hardware first, prime, don't burn the coils (and yes some coils are bad), prime, and then prime some more. Yes, humans can create computers that fit in your hands, but no we cannot make a device that isn't complicated that can vaporize some liquid. Just go slow even though you're thinking, "This isn't rocket science." OK. I have passed the torch. Now it's your turn.
P.S. All the coils in this post were/are 1.8ohms.
