Hello everyone,
First of all, plenty of great information here, did a ton of reading before get my first E-Cig....

Well, after lots of reading, it seemed that the TW Tornado was for me, ordered one and got it within 3 days.. Bought some Ecopure Menthol (10mg) along with some flavors...

Right out of the box, one of my Attys was dead. Shot an email, never got a response, still waiting...1.5 weeks....

Bought 2 additional attys for spares...

Here's the problem: When vaping, the smell is nasty, smells like burning plastic, worse, I'm getting really light headed and sick to my stomach... This happened to me with all 3 of the atty's.

This is SOOOO bad, it tastes so bad, 10 minutes later I still get it out of my mouth, throat and nose. This just doesn't seem right, I even added some caramel flavor and it still smells and taste terrible, its not even a burnt taste, its a toxic taste smell...

I'm not sure what to do here, will continue to try calling TW (hard to get someone on the phone) to figure this out. I'd hate to think that I've spent over $150 and have nothing to show for it and still smoking these damn Marlboro Lights....

Any advice, do I have bad atty's, should I try to return the whole setup and get something else, buy attys somewhere else...

Thanks,
Ray

Sorry to hear you've had a bad experience, Ray. I have an eGo (same as a Tornado, but Janty's branding) and had a totally different experience.

The only suggestion I have based on your discription is to be sure to blow the primer juice out of any new attys. It really does taste terrible! Just take the blank cart off that comes with the atty to protect it and gently blow through one end of the atty while holding a paper towel to the other until no more juice comes out. Then place a prefilled cart on the atty. The first few puffs just blow out rather then inhaling as some of the juice will still remain no matter how much you blow it out. Then try a few slow, controlled draws on the cart.

As for the bad atty, many places will at least replace a doa item even if it's not under warranty. I've not dealt with TW but they seem to have a good reputation here.

I'm sure others with more experience may have suggestions as well. Deep breaths and hang in there... There's a bit of a learning curve, but you'll get there.

Thanks TWolf... I'm so what gun shy, the taste and smell is so bad, I just want to think that I'm sucking in some toxic material (not that analogs are better :) )

Yes, blew them out a few times, dripped juice, burned, then added a cart and no change.... I'll ping TW and see if I return all of them and get replacements. They are pretty good so far from my experience, except for the email...

Are there any other methods to clean out the attys when new other than blowing them out.

My method was to blow out, drip 3 drops of juice, burn, add more juice, burn, finally add filled cart...

Thanks,
Ray

I believe your Tornado uses the 510 atty. There is a thread
here: (Cor - I cant post links yet! look under /ecigarette-technical-issues.burnt-taste-all-my-attys.)
that may shed some light on what you're experiencing....essentially - a manufacturing defect which has hit many, many people!

Keep the faith - when you find a good atty (and no one knows how many bad ones are out there) THEN you'll see how good vaping can be.

Good luck... don't give up. (I've been lucky - so far)

Thanks Nick, man, that is some extensive reading, but is exactly my issue....
