So, I've got some natural bamboo.Lana Grossa 5mm, natural 100% bamboo.
What now? I've tried making wick for igo-L and it didn't go well at all... made coil with drill bit used for aga-t, folded bambo in 4, tight in coil and takes a lot of time to squeeze it in... 2 ohms at 4 volts and the vape is horrible...
Well, ok, it's not horrible but not even near the silica wick. Tremendous TH, coughed even... might be just from liquid getting into throat and not the vapor? Very week flavor...
So, what for it's actually good?
Don't want to rebuild it at work so I've put back silica for now.

5mm sounds awfully big for a wick. Is that ribbon yarn? If so, it probably won't wick your juice and that TH you're getting is probably scorched bamboo. I use Aunt Lydia's #10 @ 1.5mm, doubled or tripled up and it wicks like crazy, never a dry hit.

Wicking is actually awesome. Wick itself is flat.

Those are not dry hits and it's not scorched.

Sorry for confusion I caused. The picture is not what I do, it's just some image I found in google that shows exactly same wick I've got :)
I don't know why there is part of the carto filler on that picture either, but next pictures shows normal coil like with silica.

Aha. That explains that lol. I'm still interested in finding out if bamboo wicks any better than cotton.
