Banned - duplicate acc.

Just a heads up, a friend is visiting,
He is a fellow Vaper and we went ahead and made an account on the forum for him, but alas, it was banned, for duplicate accounts.

We even changed our work VPN location, to where he is from, DE, but that did not help it seems!
I know this is for spam issues, bots and such, but the policy does seem just a little strict,
However, no biggy, he will register from home.

Our "multiple account" policy is enforced rigidly and not just for the spammers. With the contests that are held periodically, some try to "game" things and attempt to create additional accounts to increase their chances.

There's no problem in your friend signing up, but he has to use HIS information to do so.

Cheers for the reply, did not even think about contests, perhaps due to the fact that I never enter any

We did use his details, as in, his email, new user name, but it was still banned, perhaps due to cookies or something on my browser though.

Anyway, he will be back home this weekend and will register from there.
