banned from chatroom? really?

maybe I'm in the wrong forum. I just got a 6v mod, had some questions, and figured the live chat would be a helpful place to go. everything is fine, getting good answers. everyone is happy, being polite. then suddenly, out of nowhere, some guy 'jim_leahysomething' booted me because of my username? I got back on, and everyone was fine, everyone said my username was fine, didn't matter, blah blah. then this guy started harassing me and warning me. I tried to respectfully ask him why my username offended him. There's nothing derogatory about darwin OR jesus in my name. NOTHING. I used no profane, pornographic, or drug-related language. I attacked no one. All I did was ask for some help.

So he won't answer me why my username bugged him, and goes 'change your username blah blah idiot' and I don't know how, I've never used IRC before. Now I'm banned, can't get any help on the chat, and I'm still a little lost about my new e-cig.


what the hell did I do? so now, what, I can't use the chat anymore? because ONE person didn't like my username? I don't get it. I really don't. I'm furious about it, too, because I genuinely went on there for help, nobody else was annoyed, and he didn't even give me a chance to ask about changing my name. that's not fair.

It's just not fair.

someone tell me what's so offensive about the username 'darwinvsjesus' - at best it could be seen as acknowledging the debate between creation science and evolutionary biology, a topic which I formally researched at university and deeply enjoy.

Hey man, I completely understand your rage right now, but you probably ought to edit your post and remove the profanity. Otherwise the mods are likely to do the same to you here. I wish people were a little more open minded and not just kicking folks around for such things as a belief system (especially when like yours it's not offensive), but as you just found out that isn't allways the case. Anyway, darwin, I feel your pain, but as army said, you might want to edit your post and remove the profanity, else risk getting banned from the forums as well. I say this NOT because it offends me, because it doesn't at all, but the stupid rules. Thats the thing that confused me Yankee. I don't understand why his post is still up when he's clearly using offensive language. Yet, I post something that had absolutely NOTHING offensive in it and it gets deleted by Spaky. If anything I basically said to keep beliefs/religion/politics out of this because this forum is all about vaping.... I guess that was against the rules.....Soooo confusing...Let me go take continuous drags off my 24mg...I need a rush right now.

the actual questions I had were:
1. omega @ 6v with tenergy LiFePo4 750 mAh batts. Should I worry about over-charging? [can I leave them plugged in overnight?] or over-draining?
2. My first attempt at using a carto - I didn't fill it all the way. It literally started on fire, very briefly. It tastes burnt whenever I try to use it. OOPS. Swapped cartos - didn't burn the new one - amazing, delicious -" how is this kind of vapor possible?" vaping.

is the burned carto wrecked for good, then?

and 3. How do I know when my carto is running too dry? my concern is, it will burn up like the other one. The other one fires fine, tastes terrible. Or will I notice vapor/flavor loss first?

and last:

4. is it true that using one flavor ejuice per carto will prolong the life of the carto?

Let me try to help some 1 if battery is protected should not over charge 2 dry burn cart first fire it empty a few times then fill it. refill burned one and puff a few times should help normaly burned taste goes away . smoked a real cig omg so sry to hear that.

People are so touchy on the internet, suddenly. Just for argument's sake. Is anyone here actually offended by profanity? really? words are just words. There's just vibrations in the pharynx, larynx, nasal sinuses, and mouth. words are meaningless, we assign arbitrary meaning to them. There's no good reason to call any word 'bad' unless it directly attacks and psychologically harms someone. Like bigot words, and such. Those are bad. and despicable. But this is not that.

There are a few things I would like to vent about I was actually refused a refund from a vendors mistake because I posted it no names mentioned but I have to keep mouth shut and respect the rules. I see the point and am not offened but I guess best off to keep it pc, not everyone can handle it. I see it like this ecf is here as a service I will try to follow the rules.

This rule has been in place for a long time. We look at it via one of two ways. One is we are the biggest e-cigarette website out there to date. We are usually the first place new people go to to look at, and find out about e-cigarettes. We feel that one way to keep our image looking good is to cut out the expletives. We also look at it this way: Usually people will be offended by swearing, but I can't see why people would be offended because they cannot swear. There are other ways to get your message across without having to use expletives. There are other e-cigarette forums out there which do allow swearing, discussions on boobies, etc, and we will not bare any grudge against any member who decides to go there over this forum. The great thing about the internet is if you don't like how one website is run, there will more than likely be multiple others out there which will suit your tastes.

The real point of this thread was to determine if people on the forum actually were offended by the name 'darwinvsjesus'. It seems silly. What's offensive about it? It uses the name Jesus? That's silly because it doesn't say anything derogatory or abusive. What if my username was 'jesus vapin christ' or like, 'jesusismyhomie'

I don't know. I just wanted to know if 1. SoandSos actions were reasonable and 2. If other people find the name offensive.

Many of the t-shirts I own literally make *certain* people red in the face and ready to hit me. [google : zeno, t-shirts, if you are over 18, and can take a joke]
