How much fun would it be if we changed every 'vape' to 'hairy fart monster'?

A variation of this (a hidden auto-expansion macro, where someone would type "the" in the computer lab and it'd turn into something else unpleasant) got me suspended and grounded. Based on the chaos generated in one lab compared to a large forum, it would be *very* fun.

Perhaps it is a generational interpretation. spaz and ...... are demeaning terms for people with disabilities. Please don't go there.

You were told to change your username immediately. Instead, you came to the forum to discuss it. I'm rather surprised you have not "moved on".

good morning, sunshine! if you read my original post you'll see that I changed my username prior to beginning this thread via the link provided in the infraction notification. it doesn't show up immediately. and if by "moving on" you mean "losing my sense of humor," well, NO. if I have any serious poop to discuss, I'll let you know. I'm sorry if I offended you by calling Robin a spaz. Seriously. I don't like to offend anyone. I forgot that 'spaz' comes from 'spastic' and that is an old term for epilepsy and cerebral palsy.

This whole thread has had me giggling. I used to be a moderator for a local music forum, and it was ridiculous how many rules we simply HAD to have, for the same reasons: We were global (technically), people get upset for silly reasons, and it's just easier if you have rules to follow. Personally, I can't imagine someone getting offended by that user name. But the purpose of forum regulations is, 'you never know'. I remember one time a girl getting uber peeved by someone saying 'gimp' (in reference to a certain banjo setup), and I had to spend the next 3 days rewriting rules and regulations, and being a hall monitor. Let's all just love each other, and go hug a pug.

Yes, I have a pair of very small wire-cutters I use for coiling, but I don't dare mention them here! (In common usage they're called something that sounds like the dams they use in the Netherlands to hold back the sea). Wait a minute, can I say "dams"?

(I almost really got into trouble by trying to describe them using a phrase like "Something that little Dutch boy put his finger into". Glad I didn't make that mistake!)

There you go I changed it for you.

kakapo

It's a kind of night parrot apparently. Maybe like a Norwegian Blue or something. I'm not saying anything more :)

Wonder if you could have changed him to a Blue Tit??

OP, (easier than using all the alternatives!)
I hope after all the hilarity has died down that we remembered to say "welcome to ECF"
You certainly made a grand entrance and we hope you find all the help you may need here.
They are a grand bunch of folks here and as you may have noticed, with a great sense of humour,
even if a little weird at times (the humour, not the people) !... hmmm

and @rolygate - not the Norwegian Feeyords but the New Zealand Feeyords for the kakapo !

So I read through a few pages and seen 'Are you vaping Long Island Ice Tea'

Please tell me this is a legit flavour I can vape.

please please please

No clue... Maybe The Ocelot has run across a legitimate vape that is called that. She could possibly stop back here later tonight. :)

Howdy,
The dog's breed name is vastly spelled differently from your first choice, personally I'd have a little chat with family members if my nickname was Poo based though.
Mine came from a combination of nick names and a vision quest I did so its unique in the scheme of things I'd suppose. Either way the forum owner has spoke there for his word is law around these parts. I'm not offended at all and nick names of such stature do give me a laugh so thank you for a smile to start my morning OP.

Chin up though, oh, and I found a vault with double layer pin locking will prevent the MOD's from taking your gear, I mean they can guess at the combination because I'll take that one to my grave (Hear that FDA, come get my gear if you dare).
Naw people here are cool though, were pretty laid back bunch of folks just looking to progress the E-Cig community in a positive way.

Welcome to ECF

Honestly, I feel that the rules here on ECF are a little draconian for a forum that is supposed to be helpful to people attempting to get away from something very harmful to their health.

I understand the concerns of spam, but on every other forum I've ever taken part of, there has never been a 5 post minimum to view most topics. I find it stifling and makes it very difficult for a new user to take part in the community. I simply do not understand how in 2015 this needs to be an anti-spam measure. I believe that if you're not a robot, and you want to spam, a minimum of 5 previous posts is not going to deter you in any significant manner.

I hope this opens up discussion for improving the policies at ECF so that new members are able to view posts that are relevant to their situations, which will strengthen the community by encouraging new members to participate right away.
