Nice work. You might want to consider offering a couple more options based off that one. To me, the cyan "glow" is slightly glaring. Maybe you could blend it a little better by either changing the glow color to red or doing something like one of these: hope you don't mind I tweaked your image - but I'm NOT entering this contest so these are still YOUR entries!

Thanks for comments. Yeah the LED is little too bright. They only wanted a blue LED, I guess to differentiate it from an analog (which IMO is good idea). Did you see my last one? Huh, huh? What do ya thinks?

Nice but with 2-1/2 comments:

1. WTH is next to her!?!? Is that a knee board? It's confusing and I'd at LEAST lose the text "kite" if not the whole thing!

2. Maybe make the white text "Canada's Lead...." a little easier to read. It's a fairly thin font.

1/2. Maybe see what it looks like if her suit is pushed to a little brighter red?

OK, since my comments haven't gotten me yelled at (yet!)....

What about losing the surf board (or whatever the hell that thing is!) and replacing it with a wavy Canadian Flag? If you do, then I'd change her suit color (too much red next to each other) maybe to match the website color.

This one's nice too! My only comment would be her top could be more red. Heck, I'd consider making her top white and then doing the website addy in red. Also, her hat gets lost a little against the background so maybe tweak that (either by adding a subtle gradient behind her?)

Overall, very nice and clean! It's quite readable and IMHO serves it's purpose. Too complicated and the message gets lost, which doesn't happen with either of these!

Here's my attempt though I'm still not done with it. I need something to put in that top right corner! I was thinking of maybe showing some pictures of things you have on your site in that area--like pics of a starter kit and some juice or something.

Well.... you asked for it!

EDIT-I noticed that the background on mine is reading more pink than ideal. If anything, you could increase the saturation of yours. Only change I made was just making the leaf-logo stand out a little better.

I didn't change much as I really don't think much was needed. The girl in the first image looks a little young, but I guess "of age".

I do like the simplicity as their quite readable. If you look here: Forum Suppliers List you can see how some are way to busy to be easily readable. Others are too simple as to be "childish". I think you've done a fine job coming up with some options that are neither!
