China bans cigarettes in public places!!!!

Heres the link to the article, that I found this info out about. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/223855.php

With China banning analogs in public places, this could ultimately change the ecig game. since china was the creator of the ecig, what kind of changes do you see happening in the near future. It will be interesting also to see how ecigs play a part over their, will they start to become taxed like regular tobacco. I found it pretty interesting that over two thirds of the medical field actually smoked analogs.

Funny since I leave for China tomorrow. My last trip was to Shenzhen 2 months ago. This is the mecca for all things e-cig and where most of the stuff is produced. I walked through the city center and checked out many shops and did not see one thing vape related. I also did not see another vaper on the streets or in the airports. Tobacco is like the national vegetable over there I wonder how they will enforce the no smoking. Everyone was puffing away. Maybe on this trip to Shanghi, Ningbo and Shenyang I will spot a fellow vaper or two.

well i just want to clarify, since i was the one to make the mistake by screwing up the post title and what not. That Cigs will only be banned in public places.

But with that being said, ive never been their. but the sounds of what your saying, seems like theirs gonna be alot of angry chinese cig smokers! lol Looks like they will have to convert, i know that china along with some other asia countries dont take to kindly to people breaking the law.

I too am very interested in seeing how this will effect people. Liv2Ski If you could report back to this forum on what you experience from this law being put into place. Or at least private message me. I would greatly appreciate it that!

I asked the moderators to please change the name of this forum to “china banning cigs” just in case you cant find it for some reason

thanks matt

Isnt that? Someone mentioned if the Chinese will start vaping more now, since theirs such a high percentage of Chinese that smoke. and if thats so would that mean less ecigs would be exported because of a market increase over their. and also they were wondering if the quality will suffer, cause of such a high demand will need to be met.”

But personally I dont think that will entirely happen, maybe it will possibly make room for some better PV’s from other places...like the United States. I hope we see in the near future more of Ecigs and accessories starting to be made right here in the US. I know that were all ready starting to see some of that happen. Which is great.

If you think about it...since Shenzen, China is the Eicg capital of the world....most likely their producing more than 65% of ecig stuff today. So could this be the turn of that? or Could it be the opposite? Leaving the Chinese to make even more?

Will do. I have meetings at two Chinese companies and dinner plans for two of the nights I am there so I should see first hand how they are enforcing the new law. I will be staying in three diferent hotels too. I wonder if it will be like good ol NY with our stupid smoking kiosks and smoke bins. I know in Japan you get in trouble for smoking on the streets. They have these rectangular stainless steel boxes that you need to stand around to smoke. I will be flying in and out of three Chinese airports so I will look for the elusive vapers there too. ECF is not blocked over there so I will pop in during the trip. Happy vapes Matt
