Okay - What would you choose:

1) GeekVape Aegis Solo TC 100W

or

2) GeekVape Aegis Solo w/Cerberus tank ? ? ?

.
Geekvape sometimes gets confusing with their descriptions. You are referring to the solo TC that takes 1 single 18650 battery, right?

I have one and like it. I pair it with an RTA and prefer to purchase mods without tanks unless there is a great deal going and if that's the case then I buy some extra coils and put the tank in my stash.

Did you find a good deal?

That depends on what you think is a good deal . . . Found them for $34.99 and $44.99 respectively . . . To "Me" that not a GOOD Deal really, under $20-$30 would be a GOOD Deal, but I am considering getting other items . . .

Go with the Legend at 8vape. They have the lowest price I have found. IF you vape a lower watts the battery life will be awesome. Updated firmware and they work great. I have 3 of them, using one all the time and other 2 in stash. $39.95 plus you can use a new email address if you have bought from them before and get 10% off.

Depends... what are the prices? When I had that choice a few months ago I just got the solos, not the kits due to the price difference (I have 6 solos). Also, do you already have coils that will work with that tank? That also could be a deciding factor.

EDIT: Well.. I see you answered the price question already, so for me it would probably come down to the coil issue. If you do not have coils for it, then you need to invest in those and probably some glass/orings for the tank itself.

But the size of the solo is perfect. ;)

I personally would go with the kit because I like the Cerberus and have rbas to fit it.

Just buy the sleeve at FT for 3 bucks.
I grabbed one, because I only have one mod that handles 2X700 batteries.

I don't like the silicone sleeves, though, because they make it bigger & don't go in & out of pockets easily. Looked for a skin, and the only one I could find to fit it was $15. That wouldn't make much sense to put $15 stickers on a $10 mod!

Oh well, it's just a backup for stash anyway. At least that's what I think now. I said the same about my Colossal (too heavy), and now it's my favorite.

Well, if you're ambitious enough, some day you could
    • take it apart,
    • soak the body in something to remove the paint,
    • remove paint,
    • prep it,
    • paint it and
    • put back together.
"Ambitious" is the key word here. :D

My ambition level indicates I'd vape a green mod. :)

That's the only reason I got my two, because they take 20700/21700. I now have 10 mods and 6 squonks that take those battery formats (that's for 2 people though)... They are all going at the bottom of the pile in my stash to be used very last. But I got several of the $3 skins because it is just downright fugly... lol

I live in Florida and wear gym shorts on most days, the skin will go in those pockets easily... Just will be a pain on the rare cold days when I wear jeans.

EDIT: Is your Colossal the ugly booger green one? I got that one too... lol

But there's no telling what tomorrow will bring. If you hate the color enough, it could bring out the ambition in the most lazy of us. :D And that's one ugly color (but I have it myself :p, in fact I have 3 mods that are that ugly green, even uglier.)

BTW, what's up with the Armour Pro? Seemed popular enough for a while, and hasn't been out that long, but it's discontinued? People that mentioned them seem to love them.

That's been the vape market from day 1. Very few products stay on the market for years. Like the Nautilus Mini and Kanger Subtank Mini.

I bet Armour Pro v2 will be out in a month or so :D

True enough. I'm handy, like doing projects, and get bored in winters. But I'd be more likely to mask and coat than disassemble, if I got to the point I needed to use it. If it's one of my last mods, I probably wouldn't risk messing something up by taking it apart.

Sure, it's true with any products I guess, really. But the more popular mods seem to at least last a few years. And Vaporesso still has the original Target Mini on their site, but the V2 has been out a while. Guess this one just surprised me because it seemed like one that'd have a little more traction for a while.

Just made me wonder if it had issues I hadn't heard about or something. There's not a lot of competition in compact single battery 18650/2x700, so I kind of eyed them before I saw the sale.

Thanks for the info, however already decided to pass them up - like other people I really do prefer to get a MOD and not a Kit . . . More importantly, I do not want to have to get more coils for a tank I know nothing about - nor really want to use given my ineptitudes . . . Also, I am sure someway or somewhere I will find the MOD itself at a more reasonable price down the road (hopefully under $20) since it will be going into the "Stash-box" . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Naw, I bet it pretty easy. I've taken apart quite a few mods.

Hardest part would be removing any hot glue. But I would be surprised if there is any hot glue in there. Well, not 100% surprised lol

Only box mod I ever took apart that had hot glue in it was the Cloupor Mini 30W - what a mess.

The hardest part I can see with the Armour Pro is putting it back together because it's so small yet accommodates a 21700. So you have to carefully fit everything back. But patience will go al long way.

I commented on another thread yesterday how when I got the Armour Pro and opened the box, I briefly thought I mistakenly purchased a mod with an integrated battery. It's so tiny for a 21700 mod.

I really think the Solo will hold up to a beating for quite awhile, dust proof, waterproof, shock resistant, etc etc... I like it so much so that I got 6 of them (in comparison, all of the other mods I bought were only in sets of 3).
